We were very lucky to stumble across the Storm King Lodge while seeking somewhere for graduation week. Family with West Point cadets have limited options around the Academy. It's 12 miles from the Academy which provides easy access and close proximity for events and visits. I agree with the other travelers - the owners make the place and provide a... More

My wife and I were only looking for some place to stay near the Storm King Art Center, but Hal's beautifully renovated barn and his good humor and hospitality are just as vivid a memory of our trip as the Art Center and the riverside Italian restaurant (Ceno 2000) that Hal had recommended. Comfortable bed, peanuts and pretzels free in... More

What a lovely stay. Located in a quiet area, this Bed and Breakfast is a nice retreat from the city. Hal, the innkeeper, is warm and funny. The house is full of snacks and drinks that are ready to enjoy at any time. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfy, and the space is warm (the photos online dont... More

Hal the Innkeeper is very accommodating especially after we were stuck in traffic and was late for our scheduled check-in appointment. He is also very knowledgeable about everything, so pick his brain! Listen to his recommendations and you will have no regrets. The breakfast was phenomenally delicious, but do pace yourself with the coffee, it runs out quickly and had... More

My husband and I enjoyed staying at the beginning of our vacation (late July 2014); and again at the end of our vacation (mid August 2014). The innkeeper, Hal, made every effort to make our stay comfortable and memorable. His breakfasts are delicious with several options. The property is lovely and unique. Felt like staying at a relative's. Hal and... More

My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay at Hal's place, just five minutes away from the Storm King Arts Center. Hal was accommodating, friendly and made us feel at home in his lodge. He even had chocolates, snacks, and beverages for us as soon as we checked in and was helpful with getting us acquainted with the area. We... More

We had a lovely, relaxing stay at Storm King Lodge! The renovated barn is beautiful, and our room was quite comfortable overall. It was a bit hot the first night without the AC on, but Hal, the owner, decided to put the AC on the second night, when it was more humid, which was more comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious... Very friendly innkeeper here. The inn was originally a barn and it's visually quite lovely. The common room is double height with a mezzanine and great post and beam construction. We stayed in the Pine room on ground floor. From the pictures of the Pine room I thought it would feel dark but that's not the case at all. It... More

Stayed at Storm King Lodge B&B a recent weekend for 2 nights (Fri+Sat) and had a wonderful time. The view of the mountains is amazing, it's very peaceful and open, lots of places to sit and lounge around. The owner, Hal, was very friendly, talkative, and made great Frittata for breakfast. Very nice place to stay, especially if you're visiting... More

We enjoyed the view and relaxing on the back porch.Beer and soda was available to the guests, as were pretzels and peanuts . Breakfast was plentiful and very good . The lodge is about 4-5 minutes from Storm King. Most of all we enjoyed talking with Hal.He is warm, friendly and enjoys chatting with his guests. I guess that's why... More
