I would definitely recommend this location. It has a simple look on the outside but spacious nicely decorated rooms inside. We stayed in the main hotel with other couples; there is another section where families can rent cabins. My only complaint was that the steam room was not working on the women side. As a courtesy, they should have informed... More

We found the Emerson by chance three years ago after Hurricane Irene. Sorry we waited so long to return! Our room was at the Inn with a wonderful balcony and beautiful room. Both my husband and I had spa treatments and Kate and Kerry were excellent massage therapists. We had breakfast two mornings in the Phoenix. Portions were more than... More

Normally out of our price range; but Emerson had a special package online. We stayed at the Inn. Wonderful getaway for peace and quiet or for having a positive spa experience in breathtaking surroundings. Immaculate care is given to both property and rooms . Friendly staff at the Inn as well as the two on premise restaurants. The food at... More

Planned a solo 2 night, 3 day getaway to get away from the hustle & bustle of NYC. It was wonderful and I plan on returning when I need a little R&R. I booked the day of Luxury package and the Shirodhara. The spa services were really good. After your services, you can lounge in the patio area which is... More

We enjoyed this resort a lot. Our room was lovely with a small balcony and a gas fireplace. The bed was fabulous, firm with that soft cushy cover, really nice night's sleep. And the spa was really lovely. All the right things good robes, nice dressing rooms, lovely smell BUT the best was the massage therapists. Both my husband and... More

Emerson's offers a happy medium if you're looking for Catskill lodging that isn't bland-chain-hotel-by-the-freeway but also isn't linoleum-curled-up-in-the-corner-motel. It's a clean, relatively modern, place that would only be called a "resort" because here there isn't much competition for the title. But it is an oasis of serenity if you get a room facing the back -- the mountains and alongside... More

We stayed at the Emerson for our anniversary. Our room was a beautiful suite in the main part of the Resort. Nice Fireplace, King sized bed, huge bathroom with jetted tub and multi-spray shower, nice reading area and a small balcony overlooking a relaxing creek. My wife enjoyed a spa treatment and we had a nice dinner at their restaurant... More

Needed to get away for some relaxation that was not too far away from NYC. Emerson is just amazing. There are 2 parts to the hotel; the Inn and the Lodge. You want to stay at the Inn if you are not travelling with kids and family. I stayed at the Royal Suite on the 2nd floor facing the creek.... More

We stayed in one of the suites, which was well put together with a nice fireplace, huge bathroom and awesome shower. Our room faced out back to the river (which I think all do), with a great view of Mt. Tremper. The on-site spa was excellent, with a complimentary jacuzzi and steam room (regardless of if you purchase a spa... More

I just checked in and have already called the front desk to complain. We're staying here for a wedding and assumed by the huge $250 per night price tag that we were staying somewhere really nice. It's filthy and smelly. You would expect this to be one of the little roadside inns you could rent for $59 per night or... More
