Visited the Borland House for 2 nights in August 2014. Being new to B&Bs, we were not sure what to expect - and were beyond pleasantly surprised by the hospitality and food provided by Bill & Carol. We reserved the Isabella room, but were graciously upgraded (free of charge) to the Montgomery room - which was a treat. I cannot... More

After much searching for a b&b to stay at we came upon the Borland House. We only needed to stay a night and so many B&B's don't offer a one night stay, so it was a relief that the Borland House offered one night stays and at an affordable price. The property was well maintained, the room was clean, the... More

The Borland House is such a lovely place. The owners, Carol and Bill are amazing people. They are warm, very knowledgeable, and great cooks. They go over and above to make sure you are happy and have everything you need. I would definitely come back and I would totally recommend this wonderful place.

Great little bed and breakfast in Montgomery, NY. My husband and I spent a night here during our anniversary weekend tour of the Hudson Valley. The owners were wonderful. They spent some time talking to us about the history of the house, which we loved. The location is wonderful, with its proximity to restaurants and shops in quaint Montgomery. We... More

Simply glorious. Carol and Bill are wonderful people and great hosts. We stayed in the Isabella room which is part of the original late 1700s part of the house. It was a very unique experience, extremely romantic, and well furnished with a private bathroom and perfect for a few nights to explore the Hudson valley. 20 mins from wineries, Beacon,... More

On our way home from New Hampshire to PA, my boyfriend and I decided we'd had enough of driving and wanted to stop somewhere for a much-needed rest and some romance. We'd had a miserable drive to NH the night before and really needed some TLC. My guy is a researcher, and he didn't have much chance to research B&B's... More

Beautiful, beautiful house, delicious breakfast, friendly host. I came with my baby daughter who was being a bit of a handful and they couldn't have been more accommodating and gracious. The breakfast was homemade panacotta with fresh fruit, a homemade apricot scone, and a delish omelette. When can I come back?

A few friends and I escaped New York City for the weekend upstate for one night and chose to stay at the Borland House Bed & Breakfast. The house is absolutely gorgeous - parts are from the 17 & 1800s! More importantly however, Bill & Carol, the owners and hosts, are so hospitable and made us all feel right at... More

My husband and I just spent a snowy weekend at the Borland House. It was a Christmas present/birthday gift for my husband and we couldn't have enjoyed it more. The house and the rooms are absolutely gorgeous. We stayed in the Hanlon Room and it was so spacious and cozy. The thing that really makes this bed and breakfast are... More

My wife and I stayed at the Bordland House while visiting the the upstate wine vineyards. The house was very charming and the rooms were very large. The location is great because it's walking distance to several nice restaurants and shops and it's a quick drive to many of the vineyards. However, what really stands out is the service and... More
