Simply glorious. Carol and Bill are wonderful people and great hosts. We stayed in the Isabella room which is part of the original late 1700s part of the house. It was a very unique experience, extremely romantic, and well furnished with a private bathroom and perfect for a few nights to explore the Hudson valley. 20 mins from wineries, Beacon,... More

On our way home from New Hampshire to PA, my boyfriend and I decided we'd had enough of driving and wanted to stop somewhere for a much-needed rest and some romance. We'd had a miserable drive to NH the night before and really needed some TLC. My guy is a researcher, and he didn't have much chance to research B&B's... More

Beautiful, beautiful house, delicious breakfast, friendly host. I came with my baby daughter who was being a bit of a handful and they couldn't have been more accommodating and gracious. The breakfast was homemade panacotta with fresh fruit, a homemade apricot scone, and a delish omelette. When can I come back?

A few friends and I escaped New York City for the weekend upstate for one night and chose to stay at the Borland House Bed & Breakfast. The house is absolutely gorgeous - parts are from the 17 & 1800s! More importantly however, Bill & Carol, the owners and hosts, are so hospitable and made us all feel right at... More

My husband and I just spent a snowy weekend at the Borland House. It was a Christmas present/birthday gift for my husband and we couldn't have enjoyed it more. The house and the rooms are absolutely gorgeous. We stayed in the Hanlon Room and it was so spacious and cozy. The thing that really makes this bed and breakfast are... More

My wife and I stayed at the Bordland House while visiting the the upstate wine vineyards. The house was very charming and the rooms were very large. The location is great because it's walking distance to several nice restaurants and shops and it's a quick drive to many of the vineyards. However, what really stands out is the service and... More

My husband and I went to the Borland House to celebrate our one year anniversary and we had such an amazing time, despite the 5-10 inches of snow! Carol and Bill were absolute gems! The location is PERFECT. It was walking distance to a number of antique and specialty shops, as well as, amazing restaurants. We stayed in the Montgomery... More

Carol and Bill are wonderful hosts-- so honestly caring about their guests and making us feel so special. They gave us great advice, from restaurants to places to visit to shops to find the best of what the area has to offer. Montgomery is a foodies paradise-- both restaurants they recommended were a short block away and perfect. The rooms... More

Like a return to an earlier time, the Borland House has made a stay seem like a step back in time. Clean and restored well, with little extras and touches that make it all comfy and friendly. Good, served breakfast. Nice service...even hauling our bags up to the bedroom. The little town is quiet, but with a few good restaurants.... More

My husband and I were fortunate enough to find a vacancy at this exquisite B&B while researching accommodations for an impromptu trip to view the beautiful Fall foliage in the Hudson River Valley. Bill and Carol were the most gracious of hosts. They welcomed us into their lovely home and made us feel as if it were our own. As... More
