We stayed here one night when we decided not to drive back home. Montgomery is a really small and cute town and the setting for the b&b is charming, with its historic facade and large front lawn across from a white-steeple church. The house feels very nice and open with extraordinarily high ceilings and wide public spaces and hallways. The... More

I visited the Borland House in November with my daughter. We arrived quite late on a Friday night, but Sylvia and Larry were ready to receive us, and finding that we had not had dinner, provided us with a delicious soup and bread meal. We were situated in the Artist's Wing, where we had twin beds and a shared bath,... More

We had one of the Artist's Rooms, mainly because it was the only one left in the Inn, but it was lovely. We did have to share a bathroom, (and it was a really NICE bathroom) but I really hate sharing with strangers, and will try not to do it again, Our neighbors were no trouble, and didn't hog the... We loved our recent visit to the Borland House. It is a beautifully decorated, classic, elegant bed-and-breakfast. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Our hosts, Carol and Bill were delightful. Our breakfast was Upside-down Apple French toast. Amazing. We highly recommend this B&B.

What a lovely place! We had a beautiful two-night stay at the Borland house a few weeks ago. The house itself and the rooms are gorgeous and beautifully decorated. And Carol and Bill could not be more gracious hosts! We also loved the breakfasts -- both were delicious! And it's conveniently situated in a cute little part of town, with... More

What a delight. From reservations through farewell, gracious was hospitalityping was the order of the day. Borland is steeped in history. Bill & Carol have thoughtfully given this fine respite new clean color & class that will, I'm certain, keep borland able to continue sheltering visitors for the next 100 years. Beautifully maintained, extraordinarily welcoming, impeccably clean. It really doesn't... More

My girlfriend and I stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience. The breakfast was outstanding both days, and they had no problem accommodating my girlfriends dietary needs. The panko encrusted french toast was simply, amazing, as was my banana cake! Carol even puts out cookies for guests at night, and hot drinks/water are always available. The rooms are... More

Visited the Borland House for 2 nights in August 2014. Being new to B&Bs, we were not sure what to expect - and were beyond pleasantly surprised by the hospitality and food provided by Bill & Carol. We reserved the Isabella room, but were graciously upgraded (free of charge) to the Montgomery room - which was a treat. I cannot... More

After much searching for a b&b to stay at we came upon the Borland House. We only needed to stay a night and so many B&B's don't offer a one night stay, so it was a relief that the Borland House offered one night stays and at an affordable price. The property was well maintained, the room was clean, the... More
