Stayed at the hotel for one night well spending the weekend on our boat in the marina. The location is very convenient, close to the beach and shops. We were very pleased with all the amenities! Bikes and kayaks are free to borrow an we enjoyed biking around town and to the beach. The beach at the club is small,... More

We recently stayed at the Montauk Yacht Club with our 2 daughters, age 5 and 3. Our room was beautifully decorated with nautical decor and had a large flat screen TV, a small refrigerator, a wet bar with a Keurig machine, a large bathroom with huge soaking tub, and a walk-in closet with changing area and large mirror. My favorite... More

The location cannot be better. One can sit in their room and watch the boats all day long. If bored -Some attractions in town - just a short ride. Great , very intelligent chef in the kitchen, who is trying to bring the place up. The crowd - is typical "boat guys" and some quite young romantic couples. This is the... More

Have been staying at this "resort"every 3-4 years for long weekends hoping that it would get better. The location cannot be better. The rooms clean and have had new paint but no visible capital improvement. Food and service fair. Rooms facing marina have the best view but the work vehicles run by your porch with great frequency because they don't... More

we've been at this marina at least 1x/yr for the last 10. The staff is fabulous, helpful, and courteous. The restaurants are nice. The facility is clean and it's not too far from town. Although I don't stay in the hotel, I have friends that do and have only good things to say. It is on the pricier side but... More

We arrived on a Sunday with our family and it was like we walked into a South Beach pool party. Except the people were older and not as good looking. DJ pumping music, with drunk, tattooed 40-something's drinking and doing Conga lines to 80's rap in the pool. Which led to drunk, adult,Dj'ed belly flop contest. Was not family-friendly or... More

Firstly, I will have to note, this place is a bit over-priced, but what in this area isn't? The rooms were eccentrically nautical, just the way I like them, and the view (facing the water) was serene. The perk and impetus for positive review were the water sport amenities. There were free canoes, paddle boats, kayaks, bikes, etc all without... More

Montauk Yacht Club is located about 3 miles from the center of Montauk Village, adjacent to a small marina. While it tries to project an air of refinement, in real life it has the atmnosphere of an upscale motel. The public areas are small and in great need of refreshment. Our room was large enough and comfortable with sizeable bathroom,... More

We stay at Montauk Yacht Club in April. The weather was still cold but we had a great experience with the hotel. Our purpose of the trip was surfing. Montauk Yacht Club is about 10 minutes drive to Ditch Plains without traffic. It was easy and nice. The view is amazing from the lounge. Its rooms are a bit outdated... More

If you’re looking for an escape, go anything between march and Memorial Day or October to Thanksgiving. There’s stuff to do, fishing, boating, hiking. If you want the party scene go during summer. There’s always something going on. We liked the shoulder season. It’s cheaper, for one. The service was attentive, there were less tourists, more locals and we were... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Rich in history and tradition, The Montauk Yacht Club Resort & Marina, founded in 1929, is situated on 35-acres of scenic waterfront property at the East End of Long Island, New York where it has been the preferred playground for a who’s who of visitors since famed entrepreneur Carl Fisher built the original clubhouse. Today, after a multi-million dollar redesign and renovation, owner Island Global Yachting opens the new Resort & Marina to family holiday makers, wedding parties, corporate meetings and events. Montauk is a seasonal destination and the height of the season is Memorial day to Labor Day. The Montauk Yacht Club is open from March 1st until the Sunday after Thanksgiving. While Montauk is great in the off seasons and there are activities to enjoy, please note that during the winter and early spring some business in Montauk will close. Please speak to a reservation agent at Montauk Yacht Club and we will be happy to assist you with questions regarding the off season. There is still fishing! ... more   less
