My husband and I just returned from our "runaway from home" weekend at the Snug Harbor Resort and Motel in Montauk on Long Island. We had an efficiency room with a kitchenette, two queen-sized beds, a small table with 4 chairs and a balcony overlooking the marina. We had a delightful time. I'll be returning this year to Snug Harbor but I thought others might like to know how I liked it in 2004. I go to fish Montauk. Perfectly located for fishermen on the harbor the motel is a well maintained facility with a good dining (lunch and dinner)in walking distance. Nice rooms, nothing fancy at all. Take your dog for a great vacation. They have 6 dog freindly self contained rooms with own carport, backyard, grill, picnic tables and deck chairs. Straight across the street is Montauk Lake that has a small beach and how the dogs loved to swim here! They can take long runs on the town beach before 10am and after 6pm during... more
