This is my 3rd time here and my first time with my new 4mo twins. We had a top floor room and could not have been happier again with our stay. The rooms are updated/spacious/clean with the convenience of a big fridge/stove and dishwasher! The location is walking distance to town and across the street from the ocean. Little things...... This was always our go-to place when we came to Montauk. The pool was nice and it's right across from the beach. In addition the rooms were great and clean, and the prices were decent. However, this past visit was extremely disappointing. It was pretty empty and the first room that they gave us was disgusting. Furniture was ripped, everything... More

My wife and I wanted to visit Montauk (and the Hamptons) as we have never visited in our 35-40 years living in NYC. We lucked out with a very nice weekend in October as the rates were not peak. The Beachcomber is located across the street from the beach with only Old Montauk Highway separating it. We got a room... More

You have to know Montauk to appreciate this property. Montauk is not cheap and overall none of the properties are overly luxurious. That being said, we really enjoyed our stay at the Beachcomber. Right across the street from the beach, we had an easy walk and terrific views. The one bedroom suite was very spacious and gave us some room... More

First off, never ever stay on the first floor here!!! The ceilings are paper thin, so much so that when the person upstairs walks it sounds like an elephant stampede, and the ceiling fan shakes like a 7.0 earthquake. The walls are the same. If you want a quiet morning/ evening to sleep and relax, look elsewhere. Also, I know... More

We visited the Beachcomber in late September and found it to be a nice, quiet place. Our room was in the section closest to the road on the second level and the street noise never was a problem. The balcony faced the water and contained a table with chairs and additional lounge chairs, on which we spent plenty of time.... More

Stayed on a Tuesday night in July. Our room was on the lowest level which sketched me out a bit when we sat outside and the cars going by seemed really close. The pool was heated and was empty on a Wednesday morning which was nice. Our room had a kitchenette, a bed, and a couch which makes it good... More

ON July 25 I reserved a room through expedia.com for Labor Day Weekend. AFTER the room was reserved and paid a very vague cancellation policy appeared. TEN seconds later I contacted Expedia to cancel the room. They tried to cancel the room but were unable to get in touch with the hotel. The next day Expedia got in touch with... More

For many summers we have spent a few days or more at Montauk or in Amagansett, and have stayed in many of the local beach hotels including Ocean Colony, Beach Plum, Driftwood, etc. I almost don't want to write this review since we liked Beachcomber and don't want it to be discovered by to many. We asked for a renovated... More

This is a really well planned resort. The layout is great. Every room has a view of the ocean. Very, very family friendly. Beach access is just across the road. And you are close enough to walk or bike to town. The rooms were incredibly clean. You have a full kitchen, with plenty of glasses, plates, etc... And, a dishwasher... More
