Ruschmeyer's is the ideal summer getaway for glamping. The rooms mirror an Anthropologie vibe and the campgrounds are rustic and bohemian. The hotel is close to the beaches and I can't wait to return for another relaxing and refreshing stay!

Ruschmeyer's is a great pick in Montauk. The location is not by the beach, but very close to the best one to view the sunset. It's also close enough to go by bike to The Surf Lodge (if you're one of all those who'd like to hang out there to party). But, the garden at the hotel is really amazing... More

We came here for a quick getaway from the city. It's a great place to stay if aesthetics and food matter to you. The vibe is a cool, bohemian kind of summer camp with great drinks and food. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Can't beat a hotel with Frette linens! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We... More

I went up to Ruschmeyer's for the weekend with a bunch of friends and we had a fantastic time! The service at the hotel was exceptional (especially their manager Tyler). It felt like we were at an upscale, adult sleep away camp for the weekend. Rooms were simple & elegant. Hammocks, ping pong tables and bonfires were all over the... More

During my first trip to Montauk my girlfriend and I...and our dog, were lucky enough to find this gem. Yoga outside in the morning. Delicious food, great service, and awesome weekend parties if you are interested in that. We were greeted with smiles and courtesy at every turn, even when we come home drunk with no room key...lol If you... More

We choose Ruschmeyer's for a two day visit to the east end (one night) because it was the only east end hotel we called that would accept our dog and wasn't approaching four figures for one room. this was a nice place with a pleasant welcome, a decent breakfast, and camp like rooms surrounding a nice green lawn. The rooms... More

We stayed at Ruschmeyer's during the week in June, when there weren't city weekenders there for the nightlife. It was absolutely perfect. The grounds were immaculate, rooms were clean, modern, and cozy, and the bar and restaurant were stylish. Tyler and Charles were super helpful with all our questions and requests, and took time out of their day to give... More

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Ruschmeyer's last Sunday to Tuesday. We were both super stressed and the second we arrived we were forced to relax in this charming setting. It is a charming hipster "camp" with a great restaurant, biking and yoga and simple but well appointed rooms with luxurious frette linens and john masters... More

A wonderful retreat. Ruschmyers captures the spirit of summer by offering a unique lifestyle hotel in the woods themed as a Summer camp. Just like camp- the day can be filled with activities if you like- Yoga or bicycle ride- but also you can take in the beauty of the woods or lake from a cabin side hammock. You stay... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Ruschmeyer's, a nautical 'Summer camp' located minutes from the beach, was originally built in 1952 on 3 acres of lush, lakeside woodland. We have recently renovated the 19 'cabins', restaurant, bar and beer garden, and are now taking reservations. Ruschmeyer's offers a slew of activities from ping pong to kite surfing, paddle boarding to yoga. We will have bikes to rent, trails to hike and a treatment room ofering massages, body wraps and facials... to make everything right again. ... more   less
