Buttermilk Falls is an oasis in the Hudson Valley. Situated on a serene property above the Hudson this resort is tranquil and and the Spa is exquisitely appointed and complete with every amenity. The personnel are very warm and pleasant, attending to whatever you require. We discovered a place that we hope to make a family get away spot, as... More

A must, if you are in the area, or not. Travel from NYC is 1.5 hours and don't let the obscure turn off onto Mahoney Road full of parked trucks and seemingly commercial spaces fool you. The property is expansive and every structure is pristine, quaint and well appointed. The spa, restaurant, farm and Hudson river are near one another.... More

My husband and I went for a Friday night get away and could not have been happier with our experience. We had several friends refer Buttermilk to us and even with the hype, we were not let down. The food is INCREDIBLE. From duck wings, to ceasar salad, to salted carmel waffle for breakfast. We also got deep tissue massages... More

This two night stay exceeded everything we heard on our local NPR affiliate or read on the inn's website. The grounds and views were absolutely stunning (and this was on a cloudy and rainy day!), the rooms were nicely furnished, comfortable and impeccably clean and the entire staff was friendly and very accommodating. The afternoon tea and decadent breakfast were... More

We rented the big 3 bedroom house on the River - Riverknoll house. It was large, spacious and modern with a very large deck. Bedrooms upstairs, one with working fireplace and another fireplace in the living room on the ground level. Kitchen and dining room are on the mid level. There is a two bedroom unit below and they complained... More

My husband and 9 month old son joined me for a weekend getaway at Buttermilk. Everything was lovely from the beautiful house with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Hudson River, to the delicious restaurant, to the scenic grounds and walking paths! I wish the weather were a little warmer (we went at the end of December) so we could... More

First of all the ground are just gorgeous! And they have an area on the expansive grounds where they keep sheep, llamas, goats, chickens, and Lucy, a donkey who thinks she is a dog! Delightful! This would be a great place for a quick romantic getaway as it seems like it has all of the elements for making great memories

Overall, it was a pleasant experience especially considering that it was our first trip as a family - with a 3 month old. We were provided with a Pack-n-Play crib which worked wonderfully for our Baby. We stayed in the Gindelle suite which was supposed to be great for families with kids, however I beg to differ. Here is why.... More

Thoroughly enjoyed an overnight visit to Buttermilk Falls Inn. Upon arrival we walked around the farm and enjoyed seeing the geese, llamas, hens and peacocks as well as the beautiful fall scenery.
