My daughter and I visited this property in August . The rooms are very nice, and immaculate. Breakfast was good, and the breakfast room and patio very relaxing. We had dinner at the restaurant, at which the service was attentive and the meal very good. The spa was very nice, although as others said the dressing room is way too... More

My husband and I were married at Buttermilk Falls Inna & Spa several years ago and have made it a tradition to come back and celebrate our anniversary -- we are never disappointed! The friendly and accommodating level of service are especially thoughtful while the amenities and lovely grounds are ideal for a relaxing getaway. We take the train from... More

I don't usually write reviews but my husband and I were so charmed by this really lovely Inn that I felt it really deserved some compliments. My husband and I stayed here for only two nights at start of December. We had been in New York for 4 days and had decided to take the Metro North to Poughkeepsie and... More

We recently spent a weekend at Buttermilk Falls Inn and Spa and was terribly disappointed with every aspect of our stay. It was weeks before we could score a room at the consistently booked Inn and spa. Finally we lucked out and booked the Grand Laurel suite. It all looked so enchanting, individually decorated rooms, farm to table restaurant, and... More

My husband and I have stayed at Buttermilk Fall Inn & Spa during Thanksgiving week-end and we loved our experience. The main house is just beautiful, warm and homey with great breakfast selection as well as tea time, all included in the price. Our room was very comfortable with fire place and a king size bed overlooking the beautiful lake... More

Just returned from a near perfect weekend in the River Birch cottage. I rented the house with a group of girlfriends and we all agreed that it was the best place we've stayed as a group - lovely grounds, delicious on-site restaurant, yummy and bountiful breakfast, gorgeous and very comfortable house. Every architectural/design detail of the Inn has been considered... More

Recently spent a weekend here with two college friends. We booked the Gindele Suite--plenty of room for the three of us! Tiny bathroom was balanced out by the two fireplaces and the galley kitchen. The restaurant on property, Henry's, was fantastic. Excellent service, delicious cocktails, and outstanding farm-to-table food. The spa was a real surprise--the quality of services was out... More

My boyfriend and I had a fabulous weekend getaway! We stayed in the Winterberry room and would highly recommend it. It is a bit pricey but a great treat. We ate at Henry's at the farm and The Ships Lantern Inn. I would recommend both. The food was a tad salty, but they are willing to accommodate you. We walked... More

Approximately 6 years ago I heard about Buttermilk on the Joan Hamburg show while flipping through the radio stations. I am familiar with the area as my parents live about 50 miles away in a tow called Arkville . My wife and another couple decided to try it. My friends are spa freaks and made immediate reservations. Since we booked... More

A lovely bed and breakfast with a polite and helpful staff. Our room was in the main house. Even though it seemed the place was full, it was very quiet. the views were beautiful and the grounds lovely for strolling. Breakfast is excellent - not just a buffet of muffins, but fresh baked good, fruit and cooked to order specialties... More
