Plumbush is a B & B with historic architecture. This 1865 Victorian home immediately transports you to that era of elegance and tranquility. Furnished with colorful wall coverings combined with antique furnishings, delicious breakfasts served on delicate china and crystal, comfortable guest rooms, each with a private bath and the natural beauty of green that surrounds this estate. I attended... More

If you are planning a trip to the Chautauqua Institute and/or north west New York State this is the place you need to stay. Plumbush is a wonderful Victorian home beautifully restored and conveniently located just a short distance from the Chautauqua Institute. The inn keepers, mary and Bert Rappole are fine people who will work very hard to be... More

My husband thoroughly enjoyed being greeted with freshly baked cookies on our arrival. What lovely accomodations! This was our second stay and when in the area we would certainly not hesitate to stay again.....and again. The proprietors are a lovely couple, Mary is bubbly and a joy, Bert is more reserved but a gracious host. The grounds looked perfect, spring... More

We stayed at the Plumbush for two nights as our friends were getting married there. The grounds are very pretty, especially with the fall foliage. The Bed and Breakfast was very cozy. Our room was clean and comfortable. Some of the rooms' bathrooms are very small (ours included). The meals that were made were very tasty. The owners were friendly.... More

My wife and I were one of several couples that spent a day at Chatauqua Institution and stayed at Plumbush, one mile away. The Victorian home is majestic and the rooms are clean and attractive . Some of the private bathrooms are small but efficient. The hot breakfast was excellent and served in a beautiful setting. The owners are friendly,... More

When you stay at Plumbush, you get the Chautauqua experience, yet have some distance from all of the activity. They're just a hop, skip and a jump for Chautauqua Institution, where there is more to do in the summer season than you will have time to do! There are plays, movies, concerts, classes, sports, you name it. The stay at... More
