My recent stay at the Margaretville Mountain B&B Inn was wonderful. The bedroom was beautifully decorated and comfortable; the private bathroom was elegant and relaxing. Breakfast was served in a formal dining room. The spacious porch allowed me to sit for a while and take in the surrounding scenery. The 1886 Victorian house is perched atop a secluded hill. If... My dad and I planned a trip to Cooperstown, NY for the 2014 Baseball Hall of Fame Induction weekend. When we found no vacancy in Coopertown, this B&B popped up on TripAdvisor. While we didn't arrive until 10 pm, Peter (the owner) met us at the door and graciously welcomed us into the house. It took us around 1-1.5 hours... More

Our room was beautifully decorated, the bed was super comfy, the view from the porch was spectacular and breakfast was the best we've ever had at a bed and breakfast! We enjoyed chatting on the porch, relaxing in the lovely sitting room, and strolling around the grounds. This is a clean and well maintained historic home with friendly and accommodating... More

Carol and Pete are wonderful hosts at a beautiful historic Victorian home. Our family took over the whole Inn and we were made to feel like home. The accommodations are clean and very comfortable and the view is just amazing. The breakfast was second to none and the front porch is very large and could easily accommodate us all. I... More

We booked a night's stay at the Margaretville Mountain Inn, however didn't stay. Upon arrival we were stunned by the uncared for appearance of the home. The barn was falling in, the porch was in need of paint and the wicker furniture was sorely worn and cushions faded. Everything looked neglected and tired. The site was beautiful and the home... False allegations! All we can say is that this is a completely fabricated review written out of the spite of having been charged a $7 admin fee when cancelling their reservation upon arrival. This guest never even stepped foot in our establishment sending her husband instead who raved about the facility during his tour. Not only is this review shocking... More

Wonderful breakfast this morning, lovely room, large bathroom, and best of all super large hot tub! Great price for two days and 9 miles to skiing, very relaxing, no noise just peace and serenity! Left two comfy robes for us to use while we stayed here to make us feel at our own home and very close to get restaurants... More

My wife and I recently enjoyed a comfortable quiet fall night stay at this lovely inn. The room was charming and the attached bathroom all you could ask for. The Queen size bed was very comfortable and everything was spotless. There is a first floor den and sitting room for guest use where I spent an evening reading after dinner.... More

My wife and I took our 5 month old daughter for a three night stay over the 4th of July weekend and we would recommend the Margaretville Mountain Inn to anyone. Peter was a great host and the breakfasts were delicious. The B&B is in a beautiful setting with picturesque views and a lovely porch to sit out and enjoy... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the Margaretville Mtn Inn B&B! A delightfully nostalgic house, fantastic service, clean and comfortable, and excellent breakfast - what more could we ask. While there for a wedding weekend, I can safely say that we enjoyed more of our time in Margaretville's cute shops and the B&B's comforts than our actual wedding festivities! Peter... More

We had a recent ski trip to Belleayre and spent two nights at the Margaretville Mountain Inn. It was just myself and my two children ages 7 and 10. We had a beautiful room and the kids were in love with both the friendly dog "Bear" and the most delicious breakfasts. They could not stop talking about the french toast... More
