My wife and I plus another couple stayed at Butterscotch for three wonderful nights. The B&B is packed with antiques and the gardens filled with greenier and lovely statues. The entire place is lovingly cared for by Carmen Sweet whose interest in making you happy comes first and foremost. Luckily there is much to do outdoors in the area--canoeing, biking and hiking--since the breakfasts were bountiful and tasty.

And, then, each night it was time for the hot tub after dinner!

We had a shared bathroom upstairs with our friends. This is a particular value expecially when you have two couples who know each other and can share. A bathroom downstairs was available in the event two needed to use the "facilities." This B&B is right in the middle of Lowville on a side street.

But, it was Carmen who really made it all come alive. We look forward to returning.
