We are summer residents and every year the food at the hotel is a crap shoot. This year the food is pretty good, but the service is terrible. Tried it 3 times this season and had outrageous wait times each time. They can't seem to keep staff. Won't be going back . Food and service at The Cellar is better,... More

The hotel offers old charm, turn of the century inn with (I believe) original interior. The reception area has an old wood works, Imagine before WWI, an innkeeper greeted guests there. If you love old buildings, you will love this place. Excellent location, across the street from the public beach. We went there for lunch, seated outside on the side... More

We happened upon this property on a drive through the Adirondack Park. The room, #37, was large, clean. quiet with a magnificent view of the lake. The restaurant was wonderful with a very upscale, diverse menu. Our waitress, a local lass, was a gem, witty, helpful and fun. No noise from the bar/lounge on the other side of the hotel.... More

My wife likes the Cobb salad and the view. The only reason l go back is for her. After a raw pork chop and a steak that was as tough as elk hide.......I try to keep it simple. That did not work for lunch the other day. Something made me sick......the soup tasted like heavily salted beef gravy and the... More

For many years we have dined at this turn-of-the-century hotel, but never had the good fortune to stay there until Valentine's Day weekend. The hotel, a welcome refuge from the cold and snow, offered a rare opportunity for us to savor a bygone era because of the architecture and interior decor. Most of the hotels of this vintage are gone.... More

This hotel is just what you expect and see in the pictures, and it's defiantly not the Marriott... I was so creeped out that I slept for 3 hours! Everything was verrry old. I felt like I was in an insane asylum with the creepy doll pictures everywhere and rod iron beds. However On the bright side, the restaurant was... More

I had a "girls night out" this past July on a family vacation to the Adirondacks. Everyone (ten of us) was pleased with their meal, and I was able to ask for a "double-size appetizer" of the scallops, proscuito, & green pea drizzle to serve as my entree. They accomodated my request, and it was one of my best meals... More

I have been to the Adirondack Hotel on Long Lake restaurant a number of times through the years. I have never stayed in the hotel. I have always been happy with the food, the pricing and the service. I love the location. If seated near a window diners can watch planes land and take off on the lake across the... More

Nostalgic, turn-of-the-century Americana - feels like you're in a movie set. The hotel is perfectly situated across the street from the lake with lovely views from the large porches on the first and second floor. Everything is within very short walking distances - a variety of cute shops, restaurants and a marina including boat rentals. Small rooms, perfectly clean and... More
