A close friend and her husband have wanted to come back to Long Lake- where her dad grew up, and family had owned Longview Lodge for 5 generations. On a whim, I asked them if they wanted to come with my youngest daughter and me. I looked online for a place to stay. Lucky for me, I found Journeys End!... More

We stayed in the Lake House at Journey's End, and it was great. The house was clean and well-appointed. Beautiful views of the lake right off the porch. A propane grill was included with the house, and there was a firepit in the backyard - perfect for roasting marshmallows at the end of the day.The cabin came with kayaks, a... More

For over a decade, my dad and I have rented a cottage at Journey's End for our annual Father's Day fishing weekend at Long Lake, and never once has our stay disappointed. And this year was no exception. For the first time, we, along with my brother-in-law, had the pleasure of renting the "Lodge," which for us struck a fine... More

We haven't even completed our stay and we're already planning our return! This is a beautiful property with lovely accommodations. Let's be clear - if you want fancy, this isn't for you. But if you want a comfortable and well appointed retreat that feels like it's off the beaten path, but isn't? This IS the place for you! The owners... More

This is a great location and a lovely property. The waterfront is beautiful, with plenty of spots to sit and enjoy the lake. There is a great dock, a little beach and canoes, kayaks and paddleboards. The location is in the heart of the Adirondacks with lots of fabulous paddling and hiking within minutes. Goodnow Mountain is a gem, and... More

My wife's family summered in Long Lake when she was a kid because her great grandmother had a place there. Over the past 10 years we have stayed almost everywhere in Long lake. Journey's end was awesome. We rented 3 of the 4 cabins and had an absolute blast. Something to do for everyone of any age. Private beach, dock,... More

We were so fortunate to find this place in time to see the leaves at their peak color! The Nest is cozy, yet completely equipped with almost everything we needed for a comfortable week-long stay. I totally enjoyed the screened porch which looks across the lake. I had brought my own bedding and towels, but they had provided these things... More

We are in Retreat and it is a perfect gem for two, not fancy but comfy, warm and suitably log cabinish. Tiny little kitchen where we can cook, small frig and freezer, nice hot water shower, two beds for warm cosy sleeping. Only complaint is the seating in living area includes a lumpy sort of futon only comfy for one.... More
