Needed a place near the Steiner Studios at the Brooklyn Navy Yard for Barry Manilow PBS taping. Did some research and saw that this one was 5 miles away and La Guardia was around 7 miles away. Took a chance but was nervous because of the great price...$138. Free shuttle to and from the airport. Called the hotel from airport... More

We were looking for an affordable NYC hotel for the U.S. Open. Had very low expectations of this hotel and were pleasantly surprised. It's an old school (the "Girls" entrance is still visible). Yes, the carpet is worn and the furniture a bit run down. But the bed was comfortable (the mattress was pretty new). The continental breakfast was MUCH... More

Well... this was our first time in NYC and thought that this hotel would have been a great find. However it was not. We had booked for 6 nights. Shuttle picked us up from the airport. The shuttle was a beat up rusted old van. We checked into the 5th floor. It was a little shocking. The layout of the... More

First, the hotel looked fine when we got in and the shuttle was good IF it picked you up. The hotel room was ok, but we found a comment card that wasn't collected and it said how dirty and disgusting our room was, and when we looked closer it was still kind of gross. The drain in the tub didn't... More

We stayed in a two double bed room and paid aboout $150 per night (in October). The room was clean and had pleasant interiour - I liked it. One of the hotel's sides faces an old cemetery, the other - had a view on midtown Manhattan (out third floor had it). There is free wireless Internet, free parking and a... More

We stayed over New Years '06-07. Hotel is a ways out from Manhatten, but like my fellow reviewers said, the free shuttle will drive you, or pick you up in about 15 minutes. If you choose to walk, it will take you about 15 minutes. The room was quite large with comfortable beds, a large television, personal exercise bike, updated... More

Stayed here for 5 nights and it averaged $150 per night. This hotel provides dependable and FREE 24 hr shuttle service to and from LaGuardia and to the nearest subway station. You can be in the center of Manhattan or to the airport in about 20 mins. They provide a free breakfast and it is plentiful. Boiled eggs, bagels, fresh... More

We stayed 6 nights at this hotel right before Christman last year. The manager let us check in early without an additional charge, and the room was huge compared to similar hotels in Manhattan. Yes, the hotel could use a little work (the bathroom had stains, but was clean). For 2 budget travelers this place was a pleasant suprise. We... More

Continental bfst was excellent, shuttle service was terrific (to the subway and to LGA), rates were reasonable (compared to others in the city!), and area was quiet - nice restaurant down the street for lunch before heading to the airport, and very picturesque cemetary across the street! If you are lucky enough to get a 'view' room, you can see... More

This could be a great hotel for the price and location IF they put more attention into cleanliness. The room was large, the bed comfortable, but the bathroom was nothing short of filthy. I had to buy bathroom cleaner and spray the walls, tub and shower doors before I would even think of putting my body in it. The ledge... More
