The free parking and complimentary breakfast are a plus! I have been here twice and my first experience was horrible. Check out was a hassle, the young spanish lady at the front desk 1. Does not speak very good english, 2. Had to call her manager several times because she does not know how to handle guest complaints and 3.... More

If you like dirty carpet, bad odor, noise, hard beds and heavy smell of air freshner, (and I do mean heavy and not just the room) than this is the place for you. This place is no bargain for the extra $30 - $40 dollars you can stay at a nicer place in Manhattan or stay by LaGuardia or JFK... More

Holiday Inn Express, Long Island City (Queens) New York. As a former New Yorker I was eager to stay in this hotel owing to it's GREAT location and value. 39th Street (Queens) at the Long Island Expressway, near Greenpoint Avenue is convenient to both highways and subway. The motorist can choose either the (toll) Queens Midtown Tunnel or the (free)... More

I stayed for 3 days (January 8th - 10th, 2005). I thought the location was pretty bad, being that it is facing the Long Island Expressway. Not noisy, just far from the train station. My first day I wanted to take a cab to Astoria and it cost $14 when the front desk called me a cab. The second day,... More

we stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in november, we found the hotel very noisy but we were staing at the front of the hotel. None of the cab drivers that we used knew where it was and consiquently the fare was more expensive, you would probably be better off paying more for a hotel in the centre of... More

I have stayed here twice only because it was convenient to an early morning apointment in Queens. There are not enough parking spots, I had to circle the block several times to find a spot on the street. Rooms facing the Long Island Expressway are noisy, and the featured cinnamon rolls were absent in the morning. I would not recommend... More

I used my priority club points for this hotel stay (3 nights, July 31st to August 2, 2004). The major problem with this hotel is that NOT ONE CAB DRIVER KNEW HOW TO GET THERE!!! From LaGuardia the Holiday Inn website states the cab ride is $15. Maybe that's true if any cab knows where they're going--but 7 of our... More

This was a nice little hotel. We ended up here because everything was booked up in Manahattan (due to the early December crush) and were quite happy with our stay. The staff was especially nice and helpful. If you don't mind a four-block walk to get on the train into the city, you should give this a try.

This is a good choice if you are more concerned with price than location. It is clean and comfortable although not especially quiet. It is right smack next to the Long Island Expressway and even though we had a room facing the rear of the building it was somewhat noisy. The location is in Long Island City, which is not... More
