Positives: The location of the Days Inn Long Island City is very good in relation to the low price. The room was small, but I had worse experices in New York City. I was lucky to get a room on the quiet side of the hotel. Other rooms are probably much louder due to the subway which is nearby. Negatives:... More

I had this motel recommended by my friend and Intially when I checked in all looked good. But the room was very small and bathroom door would not close properly. Breakfast was not good and was finished before the breakfast time. Would recommend other hotel near by

The price is low, for New York, and rooms are spacious. If you're staying here, you should also be aware that the 7 runs above ground, close to the hotel, through the night. It was loud enough to wake me up, on the 6th floor. On the other hand, that does mean the hotel is convenient to the subway into... More

Small Roms, but I have seen smaller in NYC for that money. Windows not closing completely and not reducing any noise. Extremely noisy area, but close to metro station, quick transfer to Time Square. Terrible breakfast, few seats - but complementary. Much to expensive, but I did not find anything more convenient at that price level this close to Manhattan... More

6th floor double room was very small with stained bed skirts, torn lampshade, cracked walls , and torn wallpaper, and very few parking spaces (there was a parking garage next door for only $14/day) BUT despite the need for much TLC, the beds were comfortable, the room was clean, staff was nice, it was close to the subway, and the... He went above and beyond-(store around the block) for us. The coke machine was not working and he did not have a key to open and either get our money back or the bottle of water that was stuck. So he went around the corner and purchased out of his own pocket 2 large bottles of water for us.

This hotel is not the best one in long island city, i should suggest La quinta 3-4 block away for the same price range category. But Days inn was the only one available on the Columbus day week-end, so we tried it. we asked for a king size bed, which we wasn't able to have. They put us in a... More
