We stayed here because our hostess had reserved a block of rooms. The hotel is under construction and that necessitated an alternate entrance that was right outside our door. People were using this entrance all night and having parties/arguments/discussions in the hall. The poor steps to this entrance caused 2 of my relatives to have accidents (one was a broken... More

I was there just for a night. My room was close to the elevator that bring outside people to the to roof club all night long there was noise, people laughing singing with no respect for who was in the room. All night long. The free parking advised is not true there are working. The entrance is not controlled. The... More

Although the rooftop bar has a great view, it's not worth the disappointment of the hotel. The rooms and windows are dirty and depressing. With the exception of the caring men at the front desk, the management is the worst I have ever encountered. This is the place where the customer is always wrong and always challenged. In all my... Had a reservation and planned to stay. On arrival, no parking available within a block, hotel was dirty, holes in walls, ripped up carpeting, mildew smell. Was looking forward to the restaurant and bar. Went to the bar floor, before check in, to look around. I was ordered to leave the floor as the restaurant and bar were not open... More

The bride and her family were lied to about there being no noise complaints because the club on the top floor was blasting music until 4am. Our kids and we were kept awake by the noise, and we called and complained to the front desk around 2am, and they first had the nerve to say that they had a noise... More

Some of the rooms are decently appointed, but don't be fooled. The noise is horrific. The club on the top floor reverberates through the entire hotel. We were up all night long. And don't think you can just enjoy the fun then sleep in the next day - half the hotel Is demolished and there is drilling that starts at... More

The hotel is currently under construction. It was very noisy and access to the hotel was difficult to find. The rooftop bar was also very noisy, making it difficult to get any restful sleep. On a positive note the courtesy shuttle service to subway stops and other local area venues was very convenient and efficient. The rooms were spacious. With... More

We visited The Ravel Hotel from May 23h until May 30th. To start with the good things: the rooms are spacious and are cleaned very well every day. The free shuttle bus The Ravel provides to several points on Long Island (especially subway stations) is a very nice service, although a little inflexible (if you're 5 minutes late, the shuttle... The owner of the Ravel needs to figure out if he wants to run a nightclub, located at the Penthouse or a hotel where guests can actually get a night's sleep. We booked half of our wedding guests at the Ravel at least 6 months in advance. During this period we were never informed of the construction taking place, and... More
