This is a really nice hotel. You can even walk to the subway station in case you dont want to wait for the free shuttle! The view is also amazing and service is really nice. The only advice is even if the view is amazing from the 5th floor, do not get a room there! Unless you want to party... More

I really liked this boutique hotel. Heavy renovations going on in the main entrance, mostly affecting a first floor hall with rooms. Spacious room and bathroom. Comfy bed. We got a great rate including a hearty breakfast buffet. We have to go back and be able to enjoy the rooftop bar/restaurant. We were able to go in the morning and... More

Though it's a bit tattered, this inexpensive stop in Long Island City is a bargain if visiting NYC. Another nearby LIC boutique hotel (I hate the term "boutique hotel" - what does that infer?), though gorgeous, costs 3 times as much. The Ravel is convenient to Manhattan by metro or taxi. I use it as my kicking off point often... More

First off everything you want to see and do is in New York City across the bridge, the hotel is location in an industrial area, but has a great view and my room was amazing! Huge bathroom with frosted glass shower and toilet area also a rectangle shaped tub. There area huge Frosted glass doors that slide in order to... More

We had researched hotels for our stay in NY and found this gem, the view from the rooftop bar and restaurant are stunning at night and worth a visit even just for that. The food was great and even my very fussy, plain food eating wife enjoyed a very good menu. We had a nice room, really couldn't complain about... More

My husband and I stayed in the Ravel hotel for 7 nights for our tenth anniversary trip in June 2014 and found it to be very good value for money. The room itself was absolutely lovely, very spacious and very quiet although we were positioned on the ground floor. The hotel was approximately 10 minutes walk from the nearest subway... More

Have known of The Ravel for 6 years, having enjoyed their rooftop lounge on numerous occasions. From the Long Island City side of the East River, their rooftop's lounge offers a magnificent unobstructed view of the entire East Side of Manhattan. We were doing a photo shoot nearby but had to book a hotel at last minute. Was very fortunate... More

The nearest shop close to the nearest metro station. Reception, hall and breakfast area are nice however rooms doesn't much the same look. Bathroom and bedding clean, carpet not in... More

I've been to this hotel numerous times and decided to return with family. The rates are much higher than a couple years ago and there are plenty of hotels in Manhattan for cheaper. Our TV remote didn't work. We went downstairs twice for 2 new remotes which also did not work. 3 broken remotes later, we gave up. Also the... More
