Plus side: The Rooftop, a lounge on the top floor of the hotel, is a great space with great views of the NYC skyline. It's located on the sixth floor. It also has a great view of the Queensboro Bridge. The hotel is in an up-and-coming neighborhood. There are some great restaurants up the road on Vernon Blvd that are... More

I got this hotel as a deal on priceline, initially i thought it was a steal, but now I feel like Ive overpaid for a crappy overrated hotel. In terms of cleanliness and appearance the hotel is nice. The only quality issue In my room was that both of the lamps near the bed did not work and one of... More

I was not sure what I was going to think after reading some mixed reviews. But this is a good location to my daughter at St. John's University (without staying in a crappy airport hotel) and the nearby ZNYC got too high priced. I got a good deal for one night and decided to take my chances. It was a... More

We stayed here earlier this month, lured by the beautiful views of Manhattan. And I am so glad we did. If you're not a millionaire, but are looking for a luxurious room with loads of space and fantastic staff, then look no further. Our room was huge with two queen sized beds and a massive modern bathroom. We had a... More

I chose the Ravel hotel in order to have a better rate than in Manhattan, and due to its ratings on travel websites. I should frankly admit it has been below expectations and below Manhattan standards. The hotel is located right near the south pillar of the Queensboro bridge, and some rooms face the East river. It's a nice view,... More

3 Weeks ago I utilized this hotel to host my overnight guests (35 rooms were purchased by my party) after my wedding at a nearby venue. The planning process with Stephanie was fantastic and she was very professional and responsive. I wish I could say that for the rest of the staff. In my hotel block agreement, it stated that... More

Well it was a toss up the staff was average except for the little dominican girl at the front desk was great! The food was extremely expensive for the quality and service and room service doesnt answer the phone to often but the view from the penthouse of queensboro bridge and the city is spectacular the quality of the rooms... We are family of 4 from the UK and we just got back from an awesome week long stay at The Ravel. We were a little worried before we went after reading so many bad reviews on here but we needn't have been. Ok, so the hotel isn't in the prettiest part of town, but it does have amazing views... More

On the basis of our trip I have no idea why the Ravel ranks as one of the best hotels outside of Manhattan. The view of the bridge aside, this hotel has very little going for it. The most disappointing aspect was that if everyone who worked there cared a little bit more about the hotel and its guests then... More
