Having read so many negative reports on the Ravel Hotel I was a little apprehensive. This disappeared the moment we walked into reception. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. Our room was ready for our 7 day stay and was exactly what I booked. If you are expecting rooms like the Ritz stay in Manhattan. Yes there were scratches on... More

My wife and I just spent 3 days at this amazing hotel and restaurant. Let's start at the Top...the roof top restaurant combo nite club is a South Beach Miami copy. Ben, the manager, was constantly at our table...fun guy and treated us to desert. The balcony over looks the East River, Manhattan skyline and the lit up 59th st.... More

Hotel was very nice and modern. Rooms were smooth! Night life on the roof was cozy and not rowdy. Drinks typical $12-14. Blueberry Mojitos is a must natural Blueberries. However, DO NOT, again DO NOT consume ANYTHING from the room fridge or goodies that stand out! Peanut jar was $14, come on! Since I am an honest man, when asked... More

The good: decent rooms (though that can vary from room to room...ours was nice). GREAT price. Good location relative to Manhattan. For the price, I would stay there again but NOT on weekends (read below). The "Not So Good": This hotel isn't is an area with many amenities within walking distance, mostly surrounded by warehouses and industrial buildings. Parking lot... More

Where to start...We booked here because it was close to a wedding venue. We got a suite due to wanting a place where people could gather if needed. We arrived to no heat in the room, were told the maintenance guy would fix it, but he did not. We were moved to a room on the 5th floor that was... More

We stayed at the Ravel Hotel because it was substantially less expensive than staying in Manhattan so it meant we could stay an extra night. The hotel is clean and of nice design. I was slightly worried about the area before hand after reading some of the reviews but we felt perfectly safe at all times, it's a really lovely... More

Plus side: The Rooftop, a lounge on the top floor of the hotel, is a great space with great views of the NYC skyline. It's located on the sixth floor. It also has a great view of the Queensboro Bridge. The hotel is in an up-and-coming neighborhood. There are some great restaurants up the road on Vernon Blvd that are... More

I got this hotel as a deal on priceline, initially i thought it was a steal, but now I feel like Ive overpaid for a crappy overrated hotel. In terms of cleanliness and appearance the hotel is nice. The only quality issue In my room was that both of the lamps near the bed did not work and one of... More

I was not sure what I was going to think after reading some mixed reviews. But this is a good location to my daughter at St. John's University (without staying in a crappy airport hotel) and the nearby ZNYC got too high priced. I got a good deal for one night and decided to take my chances. It was a... More

We stayed here earlier this month, lured by the beautiful views of Manhattan. And I am so glad we did. If you're not a millionaire, but are looking for a luxurious room with loads of space and fantastic staff, then look no further. Our room was huge with two queen sized beds and a massive modern bathroom. We had a... More
