After that expericence, I got smart and found and site called booking.com were I came across The Tides Motoe INNbeing familar witht the area I knew there were great thing to do, and we could enjoy a nice morning stroll on the... I had to stay here for work because all the other hotels were booked up. There was a used towel already hanging on the bathroom door, the attatched restaurant doesn't serve beer, and the pool closes at 6:30 pm, even in summer. The tennis courts and playground are in complete disrepair, and any pictures that they are claiming to be... More

a few friends and I came here this weekend for some beach time, and we were not disappointed. we got a non-smoker room on the ground floor facing the ocean with 2 double beds, an extra cot, and no kitchenette. aside from a slight musty smell coming from the carpet, the room seemed very clean. the bathroom looked newly renovated,... Good location right across from the beach, next door to an amusement park like area. Walking distance to bars and restaurants. This place would be terrific if the owners would do some simple maintenance and upkeep. Instead I'm pretty sure that they are able to simply ride out their location and and make their money.

I'm giving this motel 4 stars because it has a Great location. Right across the street from one of my favorite beaches on the north shore. It is NOT a 4 star motel as far as amenities. It is old and outdated and the rooms do not have any extras. It is how ever clean, quiet, affordable and in a... More

Stayed here two nights while on business out of Hempstead Harbor. The company booked this as the cheapest rate in the area. You get what you pay for. Small room, poorly lit, and poorly appointed. Dark dirty dingy carpet and stucco interior walls. The TV was an old 19 inch tube with a distinct purple hue and blurry. No refridgerator,... More

We needed a place to sleep as we were in the area for an event that had us busy all weekend. We booked this as it was close. It is your typical 1950's era motor lodge - very kitschy. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room....well for our $165+ a night, left a lot to be desired. It... More

This is a nice motel next to bayville adventure/scream park. Thumbs up to the front desk!!! I requested (at the last minute) to have 2 separate reservations put next to each other. Not only was that done but he went out of his way to find me rooms with adjoining doors!!! Fantastic!!!!! I came down in the middle the night... More

By Long Island, NY standards, this motel is in the "flea bag" category. By world standards, this motel is in the basic, no frills, thread bare, seen better days category....if there is such a category. The first room we were given had what appeared to be mold on the ceiling. We requested another room. It was very clean and large.... More

The rooms had splatters on every wall, then someone tried to paint the splatters. The beds were gross, too. The sheets must have been 1 thread count... terrible. No mattress pad and the sheets were on inside out. Stayed one night (because we got in late) and left the next morning.
