It's the only motel for miles around...which is how it stays in business. Dirty, worn carpets, beat-up furniture, HVAC that doesn't work...this is your standard flophouse. Even though it takes 30+ minutes to get back to Northern Boulevard to find alternatives, it's worth the time. You should not stay here.

This motel is really the perfect place to getaway and relax. It is not expensive , there is a lovely pool in the back and you are right across the street from the long island sound beach . There are many retaurants in the area , an amusement park and arcade next door . Perfect place for a LOCAL vacation... More

Is it shmancy - nooooooo But a family on a budget can grab a room here. The management is super friendly, there's a big grill pit and ample lawn space for frisbee or to throw a football. The outdoor pool was big with plenty of seating and while we were there they were upgrading the tennis court. There's an amusement... More

I was in town for my 50th high school reunion, so The Tides and all the beach attractions nearby have a place in my heart (not that I ever stayed there before :) ). I booked one of the smallest rooms which nevertheless had a small refrigerator in it, a nice touch (no coffee maker though). The clerk who checked me... More

My son had a soccer game that ended late and another one that was going to be the next morning in Brooklyn... Driving all the way back east not an option. It was Columbus Day weekend and everything was booked and ridiculously priced over $900!! When we walked in the place was nice clean and the staff was very friendly...... More

doesn't see the need to renovate. Not sure if I should review rooms first or the amenities. As far as the rooms are concerned they are all dated, the early 90's would be apropo. The beds are uncomfortable, old and squeaky. The linens are also old and used. The furniture and decor are in similar condition. No coffee machine, iron... More

I had to stay here for work because all the other hotels were booked up. There was a used towel already hanging on the bathroom door, the attatched restaurant doesn't serve beer, and the pool closes at 6:30 pm, even in summer. The tennis courts and playground are in complete disrepair, and any pictures that they are claiming to be... More

a few friends and I came here this weekend for some beach time, and we were not disappointed. we got a non-smoker room on the ground floor facing the ocean with 2 double beds, an extra cot, and no kitchenette. aside from a slight musty smell coming from the carpet, the room seemed very clean. the bathroom looked newly renovated,... Good location right across from the beach, next door to an amusement park like area. Walking distance to bars and restaurants. This place would be terrific if the owners would do some simple maintenance and upkeep. Instead I'm pretty sure that they are able to simply ride out their location and and make their money.
