Loved the Arnold House...very country and rustic, but elegant at the same time. Beds are super comfortable. Cookies...wow! Nice restaurant and healthy bar seen at the Tavern. Loved the food....couldn't stop eating the clams...

We booked a trip to this area last minute, and this was the only accommodation we could find. The rooms are old, small, you hear all the noise on the street below because the glass windows are thin and outdated. Would not stay here again.

We stayed here for the weekend while picking my son up from camp. This place was the former Lanza House. It looks like an old Road House right of the road set on a beautiful piece of property. Bedrooms are small and minimally decorated. Floors are covered in cork and beds are on platforms. Linens and towels are of good... More

We had a family gathering at The Arnold. I hadn't been there before. It is unassuming at first glance but then you find the staff, the home-baked cookies, the amenities and the bed (oh the bed!) to be totally and quietly high-end. The setting is peaceful, relaxing and lovely. The nearby town is delightful. It's a great respite from the... More

This is a charming bed and breakfast/boutique hotel that lends a lot of character to its guests. Opening in Spring 2014, this is a 10-bedroom inn that boasts newly renovated clean and cute rooms, a vegetable garden you can help work on, a bbq barn that serves a stage for live music on Fridays (during the summer), yummy sweet treats... This is a long overdue review. This February we booked the entire Arnold House for a weekend. Despite the blizzard outside the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff at the Arnold House made it the perfect place to relax, reminisce and celebrate FAMILY. Thank you for making this a truly memorable weekend!!!

Best staff, best food, best drinks, best rooms, best access to hiking, best trailing running, and best place to visit a real live working farm and make your own cheese. Obviously “best” can be subjective, so let me provide some context. My wife and I are 30/40-somethings that live in NYC, but spend many of our weekends in the Hudson... More

My sister and I thought we might not have too much to do staying at The Arnold and would just have a nice, relaxing weekend out of the city, but were happily surprised that there were lots of great activities around. We met baby goats at Apple Pond Farm and tried all the beers at Catskills Brewery, went to local... More

My husband and I and dog (the place is pet friendly which is great) had a perfect weekend at The Arnold House in March 2015. We love the design of the place, it was hip but also super cosy and comfortable, and was made even more pretty as the area was still covered in snow. We even managed to get... More

We booked a weekend at the Arnold House for a cozy winter retreat. We chose to go to the Arnold House based on it's proximity to NYC (2 hours driving), amenities (charming decor, fire places), activities (breweries nearby, snowshoeing, bikes), price and general ambiance. It did not disappoint. The rooms are clean, staff is accommodating, the guests are friendly and... More
