While we haven't stayed at Lanza's we've eaten there quite a few times and are "regulars" during the summer and fall. The food is consistently quite good and the staff quite pleasant. Criticism is that they only give you enough rolls/bread for the number of people at the table, no "extra," and this seems a little petty to us. We've... More

We fell into Lanza’s Country Inn(and I'm glad we did) because it was on the list for Stagedoor Manor parents. The old restored farmhouse is beautifully situated on a hilltop surrounded by lovely grounds and overlooking a pond. It’s quiet and relaxing and the owners are very accommodating. The rooms are quaint and clean and the bed was very comfortable.... More

Had dinner with a friend on a Friday night in the Pub area. Basically the food was pretty bad. I ordered the Chicken Schnitzel which is described as Crisply sautéed, breaded breast. Lemon & butter sauce. I received a deep fried cutlet without any sauce. Very dry and tasteless. String Beans uncooked and hard. My friend ask for meatballs and... More

I found the inn to be outdated rundown overpriced and completely unsatisfactory . While the staff is pleasant enough it's hard to believe they can be nice considering the why they are treated by their employer . The food is overpriced and mediocre at best !! I will never stay there again or recommend this inn. And they may want... More

OMG Had my birthday dinner there. Have been there several times for dinner in the past, when you can find it open. Always new staff because of the way they are treated. Food is good as long as the owner is not cooking. Had a scallop dinner, my date had four I had two cut in half to look like... More

We were trying to make a reservation at the last minute. We were so fortunate that Lanza's Inn had 1 room left. We arrived late and the owner Richard greeted us at the door. He delivered us to our nice cozy room. He had been keeping the pub open at the special request of some other guests and allowed us... More

If I am going to pay $180 a night with tax etc., you better give me a TV & phone in my room and a hot shower. The fact that I live out in the country anyway probably made this less of a "get-away" trip than it might have been for other people. There were no open hotels in the... More

nice b and b in an area where choices are very limited. Simple lodgings with a good breakfast and very decent restaurant. Very clean; very attentive, pleasant owners. Pretty area; b n' b located near top of a hill outside of Livingston Manor; attractive, large grounds (probably a couple of acres). If it rains, basically nothing to do in area... More

This is my favorite B&B in this area for a number of reasons, particularly price! The cost is about the same, or less, than one pays in one of the squalid motels in the area. Yet one gets a lovely room with antique furniture, and a fine breakfast. Also the restaurant serves really excellent southern Italian food. While it lacks... More
