We had the pleasure of visiting Ramgarh Fresco in December. We were visiting the Shekhawati region with friends (who happen to be friends with Mr. and Mrs. Raghvendra). It was our first stay in a traditional Rajasthani haveli, and we were indeed charmed. The hotel is comfortable and the proprietors are very gracious. Breakfast is included, but we didn't have... The region of Shekhawati offers very few great options for accommodation and Ramgarh Fresco is surely one of the best! It feels like visiting home, a very unique heritage one at that, and Mr. Raghvendra and his family treat you like their own. It is quaint old haveli, converted into a nice, clean hotel. The food is delicious home food,... More

We were originally supposed to stay at the Malji Ka Kamra at Churu, unfortunately that was not to be, on account of some unexpected, last minute repairs to that property. Fortunately, alternate arrangements were made for us to spend the night at Ramgarh Fresco. The entire Shekawati region, as has been noted in other reviews, is famous for it's 'havelis'... More

I stayed here for two nights from 17-19 Dec with a friend. So glad we made a stop here as this is not a tourist area (we were the only tourists in town) and I felt this was one place where we could see a little of the real Indian countryside and have meaningful conversations with locals. Ramgarh Fresco is... More

We (2 of us) are first time travelers to India, taking a tour across the northern part. Stayed just one night. This is a beautiful place to stay at. Both this Haveli and others are covered in murials/ frescos. For a small fee, the Owner will give a guided town walk which is well worth it. We knew we were... More

We stayed one night here, keen to see the havelies in the town and nearby. The hotel itself is a beautiful haveli building, restored to former glories and well worth an explore of its own. It also provided welcome relief from the lively streets outside, where we attracted quite some attention. The room was spacious with a large and comfortable... More

Since this hotel is possibly the only pet friendly hotel in this region , it was a welcome change. Even managed to do little... More

I have been to Shekhawati 4 times now, and after experimenting with a few hotels in Mandawa I now only stay at Ramgarh Fresco each time. I stayed here for a whole month in March, as I am researching the wall paintings. The haveli is one of the most well preserved in the area, and very tastefully furnished. The food... More

My wife and I really enjoyed staying in Ramgarh. Arguably once the wealthiest and now by far the tidiest town in the region, Ramgarh's streetscapes are distinguished by glorious havelis, frescoes and temples. Raghvendra and his partner are a great hosts - nothing is too much trouble, and our walking tours were delightful and informative. The simple but characterful rooms... More
