This is a lovely guest house in the loveliest town in Shekhawati, with gracious hosts, great home-cooked food and an excellent guide in owner Raghvendra. I’m generally not a fan of guided tours. I like to take my own time and generally prefer a good guide book to an endless litany of dates and statistics. But with Raghvendra it was... More

I have been traveling in India for 45 years and I constantly lament the loss of the charm of the old days in favor of all the new, the modern, even the convenient. Well, I recently found a place that hearkened back to the old days, in all the good ways. Shekawati, Rajasthan is an area of fine old painted... More

This beautiful Haveli now turned into a hotel was a pleasant surprise. From the outside and the approach road, I wasn't too sure how the rooms would be but they were beautiful. Lovely, clean, spacious, with all modern amenities but it still retained its old world charm. The food was simple and homely but delicious. The Laal Maas was very... More

We stayed in Ramgarh Fresco for a night in August and the entire group I travelled with loved the ambience of the haveli turned heritage hotel. Raghavendra Singh Rathore and his wife, along with minimal staff, leave no stone unturned to cater to every demand of their guests. They believe in service with a smile which is such a rarity... We had the pleasure of visiting Ramgarh Fresco in December. We were visiting the Shekhawati region with friends (who happen to be friends with Mr. and Mrs. Raghvendra). It was our first stay in a traditional Rajasthani haveli, and we were indeed charmed. The hotel is comfortable and the proprietors are very gracious. Breakfast is included, but we didn't have... The region of Shekhawati offers very few great options for accommodation and Ramgarh Fresco is surely one of the best! It feels like visiting home, a very unique heritage one at that, and Mr. Raghvendra and his family treat you like their own. It is quaint old haveli, converted into a nice, clean hotel. The food is delicious home food,... More

We were originally supposed to stay at the Malji Ka Kamra at Churu, unfortunately that was not to be, on account of some unexpected, last minute repairs to that property. Fortunately, alternate arrangements were made for us to spend the night at Ramgarh Fresco. The entire Shekawati region, as has been noted in other reviews, is famous for it's 'havelis'... More

I stayed here for two nights from 17-19 Dec with a friend. So glad we made a stop here as this is not a tourist area (we were the only tourists in town) and I felt this was one place where we could see a little of the real Indian countryside and have meaningful conversations with locals. Ramgarh Fresco is... More

We (2 of us) are first time travelers to India, taking a tour across the northern part. Stayed just one night. This is a beautiful place to stay at. Both this Haveli and others are covered in murials/ frescos. For a small fee, the Owner will give a guided town walk which is well worth it. We knew we were... More
