Banda Island is beautiful, with the most amazing sunsets. Peace and tranquility are at the top of the list, with amazing staff and management making sure nothing detracts. The dogs are the sweetest things on this earth and make the stay that much more memorable. for the adventurous at heart, there is water skiing and a small lazer yacht, but... More

I am an unfortunately early riser and happened to catch the sunset both mornings. It was rather stunning, and the hot water and coffee were ready quickly enough to make the early hours manageable. After five years in Kampala, this was my first trip to any of the islands, and it definitely won't be the last. I went with a... More

We headed over to Banda for a relaxing few days after a safari and it was just what we needed. The place was great. Cant complain with having a swim and a chill by a fire with a massive glass of wine. The food was excellent and I loved the fact they source all the fish from local guys. Interesting... More

Banda Island is a great escape from Kampala and its traffic, noise and utter chaos. If you're looking for a quiet time in the company of expat owners who truly care about their customers' experience, then you have come to the right place! It is worth the detour even if it is only for one night since groups can easily... More

A great place to see uganda a little bit different. We went to banda island by cycling to kizilu first. There Vincent was waiting for us and after a boat trip of 3 hour we arrived on Banda Island. In the morning we woke up in our cabine with the water only 15 meters from our cabine. A journey to... More

Choice of accommodations including lazy camping (tent maintained by staff), dormitory lodging and beach cabins provide something for every budget and level of adventurous spirit. I never knew I got seasick - until I went to Banda Island. Despite the vomiting on the way there, I had an amazing time. The boat arrived on the beach for me to be greeted by half a dozen smiling faces a few tail wagging dogs and Petra waving a choice of beer or soda. A quick brush of... More

I have probably spent more time on Banda Island this last year than just about anyone. I love the place, its solitude and beauty. In all that time I have never seen Andrew the manager mistreat the staff. From what I have experienced Andrew has always bent over backwards to treat the staff with respect and affection. Andrew's first consideration... More

A lovely setting to get away from it all. It is a bit of an adventure getting there (carried into the boat by men walking in the lake and a 3 hour boat journey!) and I wouldn't recommend for those who are used to hotel holidays! The facilities are extremely basic - sarongs on the toilet doors, cold showers inside... More

Excellent service, food, location, shower, cottage, view…everything! Hats off for Andrew!!! The sailing lesson was really an adventure :-). We spend two days at Banda and left with big smiles on our faces.
