A great way to spend a break from Safari, adrift Riverbase resort offered Bungee jumping and white water rafting which were both a fantastic experience and would recommend for any one visiting the region. Our instructor from the white water rafting was Toto was very professional and also very enthusiastic about his job, one of the best experiences of my... More

In the beginning itself, let me clarify I am not reviewing their accomodation cause I didn't use it; this review is only about the rafting experience I had today. We three of us were staying at Kampala and this guy named Carlos picked us up at 0700 from our hotel. The drive to Adrift riverbase was a bit over an... More

Arrived in Jinja after a hard slog overland and was disappointed to be herded to a seat and talked at to by a saleswoman from Birmingham who pushed the hard sell on their rafting tours. I already knew that I did not want to raft (their price was obscenely expensive) but was forced to listen for half an hour about... More

You don't really expect much when you are camping for 6 dollars per night, but this place is fantastic! You will not be dissapointed when you stay here; with hot showers, proper toilets and good food to give you that much needed boost after a long journey. But the best bit has to be the bar area. A brilliant little... More

Its Uganda, so there is that negative. But the fixed tents were ok, there is an electric light, but didnt help much. The bathrooms are pretty ok, with mirrors and great hot water. The rafting was fun, not sure they were level 5, but we all had a lot of fun. The bar has a view of the river and... More

Stayed for 2 nights as part of an intrepid tour. Both nights the bar and the music blaring from it didn't close down until 4am!! That might sound reasonable until you realise that the bar is directly in front of the tent site!! The camp manager had assured us it would stop at 12am but was clearly lying. Added to... More

Thought the accommodations and rafting were great the staff was extremely rude. The Ugandan bartenders were swell and great company but I would take my money elsewhere, particularly of your looking to escape a mini western culture transplanted into Uganda.

We stayed here only because we were rafting with Adrift so we got a free night. The dorms were fine and relatively clean, the people working there were friendly, the service a little slow, and the food kind of expensive. It definitely had the feel of a college hostel, but we had a good time there. You can request a... More
