Stopped here with my team between villages while doing aid type work in Uganda. This place knows how to cater to a westerner. So many other hotels that we visit, while still clean and safe, don't feel like home or restful. They have TV's and weird layouts and not enough windows. Our room here was open, clean, well simply layed... More

I loved this place so much. The staff was great and helpful always smiles and eager to help you out. Surjio the owner is a great guy and love his ideology and what he envisions for the place. Our room had a scenic view, the showers where hot and the WiFi was fast. I felt more relaxed than I had... More

We spent on night in jinja at Surjios and this was the highlight of our two weeks in Uganda. The room quality was excellent, the service and personal approach from Surj made it a home from home. Our kids loved the pizza, as did we. Very good value and a definite for our next visit to Uganda.

We just stayed for 10 days for the 5th year in a row and we love love love the rooms and your food, and your staff (especially Miriam, Ivan, Caesar are exceptional). Coming back from volunteering it is such a treat to get in your pool and relax... We are in heaven staying at your guest home and eating pizza... More

I love staying here! Breakfast is great! Soda is cold and pizza is wonderful. Just make sure you get your pricing in writing as they like to renegotiate the rate when you arrive unless u have a printed email from Sergio. Also the neighbors get loud when they get drunk at night. Welcome to Uganda!

We have stayed here several years now for an annual trip. We love the property, the food, the staff, the location. They have very nice accommodations and go above and beyond to take care of their guests.

An enforced last minute change of plans saw us lost in Jinja in our self drive vehicle with night falling. We enquired at a couple of hotels but none would give us a discount despite the late hour. We were then directed to Surjios by a Boda Boda driver. The colonial style house is sat in gated grounds a block... More

We stayed at Surjio's when we visited Jinja for a week to meet our sons that we are adopting from the area. Surjio's was the PERFECT PLACE. Beautiful room, beautiful garden, and beautiful pool. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They even helped teach us some phrases in Lusoga (local language), as our boys don't yet speak English:). The... More

This is the second time we have stayed at Surjios and it is wonderful...spacious rooms, huge bathroom, comfy bed, hot shower, and nice porch to set up a camera or just sit out there and visit. Surjio and his wife make you feel like family. The pizzas and calzones are delicious as is breakfast. The staff is most efficient and... More

I've stayed at this beautiful guest house twice and was thrilled with the personal attention we received from Surjio himself! The food at the restaurant was delicious, especially the veggie pizza. The rooms were clean and comfortable, along with stone showers and gorgeous porch settings to linger on and talk.
