A friend and I were traveling through eastern Africa and had heard good recommendations about Swahili Divers so we decided to check it out...and I'm so happy we did! We stayed at the lodge for roughly 1 week, got NAUI certified, and went on four dives after being certified. The dive instructors were great, patient with a large group of... More

We came back from 6 days/10 dive package at Kervan Saray a week ago and have nothing but beautiful memories. As Smoke Monkey suggested, Kevin and Deon have got everything back on track. The rooms are being refreshed, the pool is clean and everything ran very smoothly for us from start to finish. The diving is truly stunning and we... More

This will be one of the more challenging reviews I have written because we loved our time at Karavan Saray but our Pemba adventure did not come without flaws. At first we were wondering what we had got ourselves into we landed at the Pemba Airport to find no one aware of our arrival. Luckily we were able to use... More

Dear SmokeyMonkey81, Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful review. Firstly I am delighted that you had such a brilliant time; and that Kevin and Deon pulled out all the stops for you. Kevin and Deon are extremely experienced people who have both worked with us before and returned to Pemba for a second time. I have already spoken to... More

We spent 4 nights and did 6 dives with the great Swahili Divers crew. Although we had only done a couple of dives since getting our Open Water certification, we always felt completely safe with Dylan and Neil. We were completely blown away by the 25m+ visibility on our dive at Manta Point! This is a perfect place to relax,... More

Dear Nigel L, Reviews like yours make everything worth it. We have prided ourselves on our dive guides and while Dylan and Neil are no longer with us, I can assure you that the swahili divers ethos continues. Thank you for staying with us. And safe dives Raf Director More

Raf and Cisca run a great place. I have visited Swahili Divers on a few occasion, and every time I feel like I am having the comfort of home while being on a beautiful tropical island. The diving is breathtaking, with so many dive sites available around the island. The dive instructors are always safety conscious, so I felt very... More

We had 3 nights here and would love to stay so much longer. The rooms are large and the bed is so comfortable. The dive sites are incredible with large drop off walls from 5m down to 40 or even 100m. There are plenty of different fish and eels, nudibranchs and shrimp. Raf & Cisca are absolute legends and show... More

For me this was a paradise, stayed there in the beginning of september 2015 for a week (10 dives package), and it was absolute breathtaking. The diving: I only dived in Belgium en the Netherlands (CMAS) so this was quite an interesting experience to dive here: crystal clear water, white beaches, warm water (for me although), the sun shining and... Dear Raf and Cisca, Thanks for some unforgettable days and dives at your place. You made us all feel welcome at your beautiful and relaxing lodge, and the atmosphere just make you feel as a part of the family where every evening after the tremendous dinner was a small “party”. If you expect luxury and where everything goes as planned... More

This was my second visit to Swahili divers; returned for a week. The diving was superlative. Airport transfers from Chake Chake to Swahili divers were flawless. Dive masters: Either of two young dive masters led the dives. Both had a lot of experience and were extremely competent and had quit a bit of knowledge of the dive sites. They even... More

My brother and I recently stayed at Swahili Divers this past June, me just having finished my Peace Corps Service and my brother recently starting graduate school. Just off the bat, we were a little hesitant about the place due to its remote location on Pemba island, but those worries were unfounded. Everyone we met and hung out with, including... More

Dear Brian L, Thank you for your review. I am delighted that you had such a great time; and I will be sure to share your positive feedback with our team.
