I have stayed at three different places in Butare but this is by far my favorite. The rooms are clean, the meals are good and the staff is very pleasant. In addition, when you drive there they will see that your car is washed and there is no charge for that. The one area that could be improved are the... More

I'm sorry for the nuns who are managing the Hotel, but the service that I saw when I visited it on 24th December 2014 it was so poor. I have waited for more than 20 minutes to be received by a waiter, and after giving my order, the waiter told me that food that I ordered will be ready in... More

We stayed here twice, once with my parents and once with our one-year-old son, and we enjoyed the quiet environment and the very friendly staff. The rooms are new, spacious and all have a sofa, desk and private bathroom. An extra matress was provided for our son at no additional cost. Breakfast is fine and the restaurant has a large... More

We were traveling to Rwanda for a mission outreach so I was not expecting 5 star hotel. This acommodation was very clean, and ample for our needs. The rooms are cleaned exceptionally well every day. There is wi-fi, but it's best in the lobby. The guests are treated well and I found this place to be perfect for our needs.... More

The hotel's neighborhood is lovely and well worth a morning or evening walk. Also worth a short stroll is the well manicured garden behind the hotel. It's a little spot of serenity. My gigantic suite was, well, gigantic but otherwise humdrum. I've stayed in cleaner rooms in other Rwandan hotels. The restaurant staff was notably friendly. I'd already adjusted to... More

Go to the Hotels web site and see the real pictures. The property is a very new, well run hotel with a restaurant and bar favored by the locals. Property is run by nuns. It is located in an exclusive residential area, Taba, a 20 minute walk from the center of Butari. $3. cab ride.

This hotel is perfectly fine, less charming than IBIS and a little warmer. The shower is ok but beware of the hot water once you turn it on. [Give it a good 30 mins to warm up]. The breakfast and dinner options are great.Service at the restaurant is slow: the menu notes "15 mins" needed for hot water. No I... More

This inn is a little idiosyncratic - service is variable, but mostly good. The restaurant is fine - actually the food is good, but they have an extensive menu and whenever I've been there there is always something not available which is frustrating. The rooms are small but comfortable - but look out for the water heater in the bathroom.... More
