Stayed a couple weeks ago over the weekend. Did not have any issues. We are priority club members and were upgraded to the Adirondack wing. The room was very nice - had a fireplace, large jacuzzi tub and a balcony. The great room was very nice. Great decor and a fabulous view. Drinks were always full. Bartenders were good. Didn't... Thank you for the review of your stay. We appreciate your loyalty to Priority Club Rewards, the world’s largest hotel rewards program. You hit the nail right on the head concerning the hill that we are located atop; without it, we wouldn’t be afforded the amazing views of Mirror Lake, Main Street, and the surrounding mountains. Thank you again for... More

Our family stayed here about 15 years ago and remembered a nice experience and beautiful lobby. I am a priority club member and when I called to book I asked for a room with a view. The receptionist stated rather curtly, "ALL our rooms have views." True enough. Our room (#403) had a nice view of the Lake and mountains.... More

There is a lack of electrical outlets. There are weird power strips installed in rooms to provide more outlets. They are installed in a sketchy manner and the outlets are very loose. The hot tub had very weak jets but was still much appreciated after a day of outside winter sports. The pool is nice, deep and towels are always... More

I am a priority club member and have had very good experiences in the past with this chain of hotels. Lake placid is one of my favorite and most beautiful destinations both in summer and winter. I was eagerly looking forward to a 5 night ski vacation and looked forwar to trying the Crowne Plaza. After a 10 hour drive... More

We appreciate the review of your stay. I am very sorry to hear that you did not have an enjoyable experience at our family owned and operated resort. Because your reservation was made online, we were not made aware of your Priority Club Rewards membership. Also, we were entirely sold out during the time of your stay, so the opportunity... More

Last minute stop, for a little skiing, the rooms were great, with views over the village or valley. Staff very helpful and friendly, definite place to stop again when we are in the area. More

This was my 2nd and last time staying at the “family owned” Crowne Plaza. In the past I always stayed at the Hilton, unfortunately there is no longer a Hilton Hotel in Lake Placid so I opted for the Crowne Plaza. My son and I wanted to have a vacation together and I hesitated to return for a second time... More

My wife and I stayed here twice and were very pleased with this hotel. We stayed the the Adirondack wing, which is a newer addition to the main building. The rooms had king beds, fireplaces, whirlpool tubs, and obviously adirondack decor. The rest of the hotel is fair. We paid about $200 a night for these luxurious rooms which is... More

I am not even sure where to start. We arrived with 3 children about quarter to midnight, the person at the reception did not even acknowledge us, continued happily chatting about dogs with other guests. After about 10 minutes she turned to us, was so grumpy I almost felt like apologizing for arriving so late. The staff is in general... More

Went down there for 3 days- in general I never saw hotel personel as demotivated as in this crowne plaza. ask for towels - took 1.5 hour for service. don't waste your money at MacKenzie restaurant - I guess someone sits on the bread since it was so wet. Go to Veranda restaurant in front of the hotel - also... More

Thank you for reviewing your stay with us. I am sorry you did not enjoy the breakfast in MacKenzie’s Restaurant; most guests find it to be a quick and easy start to the day. However, it is great to hear that you had a chance to dine at our Veranda Restaurant, located next door to the hotel. As you mentioned,... More

I've been going to Lake Placid for over 30 years. The Crowne Plaza has been a excellent addition to Lake Placid. It was a Holiday Inn originally and after it's conversion it has been a great transition. It sets so beautifully on the hill overlooking Mirror Lake. The sunrises and sunsets are gorgeous and the hotel is very accommodating. You... More
