We stayed there this summer. Probably one of the best view of lake placid and whiteface from our room. We will visit again. more

I grew up in Lake Placid, and moved out of the area about 8 years ago. I make frequent trips back to visit and have stayed in many hotels. When we decided last minute to go up for July 4th, not too many places had rooms that were available and afforable. When we booked our room at the Placid Bay... more

We stayed in the Mallard cottage and had a great time in Lake Placid and its region. This cottage is excellent with an amazing view on White Face Mountain. We come from the Netherlands and have a two year old boy. He could play soccer on the gras in front of the cottage and the free cano use was also... more

We are relatively frequent visitors to the Lake Placid area and have stayed at the Mirror Lake Inn, Art Devlin's Motor Inn, and the Adirondak Loj - among other places around town. For this visit - we decided to try something new - and we rented the Mallard Cottage at Placid Bay Inn for the Canadian Victoria Day weekend. The... more

Great spot to stay in Placid. It is very central, but far enough away from the village centre so that you can get a good nights sleep. The golf package that they offered was fantastic and the pricing was exceptional. Denise is a great host and is a great ambassador of the Placid community. The hotel is quaint, with a... more

I stayed in the 2 bedroom suite with friends on a winter weekend. The rooms provided us with the basic comforts for the weekend. Nothing fancy, but we were at Lake Placid to be outdoors. Denise provided us excellent service. She even checked up on us upon our return from climbing a mountain to make sure we were OK. I... more

Sensational find in the heart of Adirondacks. Free canoe use on Lake Placid. Easy walk to heart of this picturesque Olympic village. Denise is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. more

Sweet and informative family handled everything from booking to check in to tales of local trails, traffic, restaurants...Denise Dramm is a gem...the inn is more Motel except for the cottages, but the rooms are clean and the price is right, the location pretty perfect. Real solitude in the backyard which is sited on a 'bay', really an active marshland...think water,... more

My fiance and I loved our stay at the Placid Bay Inn in Lake Placid NY. We purchased a very affordable 2 day stay and Cross Country Ski package... It never stopped snowing..the Cross Country Skiing was the best ever. The owner Denise was very helpful and provided us with advice on the area...The rooms were comfortable and clean. We... more

Our bathroom structure was from the 70's, the bedroom decor was from the 80's. Pool was not heated. Service was rude. Our late arrival (10:30pm) was met with hostility. Any requests were treated as a nuisance. For example, upon request for a fresh towel I was told that my friends and I were expecting special treatment and thought we were... more

I was saddened by the review written by the young lady from Toronto. We are a small family owned and operated Inn, and try our upmost to make our guests experience at our Inn and in Lake Placid an enjoyable one. I do realize that some folks are looking for a full service resort not a smaller place like ours,...
