We (5 couples, all around 50 years old) stayed for several nights in mid September. One couple had a room with a king bed and small living area (couch and coffee table) and small balcony overlooking the lake, the others had rooms with 2 queen beds (no couch) and small balcony ( 2 chairs and table) overlooking the outdoor swimming... We just spent 4 days here for our twelfth anniversary. We chose the Rise and Shine package and felt it was worth it. We have stayed at many places and ate at many in Lake Placid over the years and this was by far the best. The room was very romantic and we were given a bottle of champagne shortly... More

We have stayed at the Mirror Lake Inn two times this past summer. It is the perfect get away for the entire family. With boys ages 5, 3, & 1 this hotel provided the perfect accommodations and activities to keep us busy morning until night. The mornings were spent waking up to the fire in the cozy moose rooms, fishing... More

We've stayed at the Mirror Lake Inn twice in the past year (we like to stay at higher-end hotels and the Mirror Lake Inn is a AAA rated 4-diamond property and a member of the Small Luxury Hotels association). We are a husband / wife couple that enjoys using the Lake Placid area for outdoor activities, especially triathlon training. Like... More

It's the little things they don't get right:We're paying over $400/night for: 1- Lines at the morning tea & coffee.....the do not have coffee systems in the rooms, morning coffee service or an attendant dedicated to keeping the station supplied.Had to wait 10 minutes to get milk, cups etc. 2- No papers delivered to the rooms & only 1 copy... Thank you for being our guest. I apologize for stay being anything less than perfect. We very seldom have a line at the morning coffee station and I apologize for you having to wait while we replenished the cream and cups. As our guests have varied needs and desires regarding newspapers and most have access via electronic devices, we decided... More

This was our 5th stay at the Mirror Lake Inn and they continue to be our home away from home. The inn is simply relaxing, as are the Adirondacks in general. The property is in a fantastic location, situated on Mirror Lake and a very short walking from the village of Lake Placid. The village is a bit touristy but... More

Our family, including two children ages 8 and 13, stayed at Mirror Lake Inn August 22nd through August 26th. While knowing very little about the area and the property, we couldn't have been happier with our accommodations and the property overall. Yes, it was pricey ($400+ in the Mountain View building), but the grounds, the views, the exceptional staff really... More

Save your money and splurge on a mini vacation here. We had a fantastic suite in the main lodge overlooking the lake. The staff wants you to totally relax and enjoy. There were good choices of spots to eat at the Inn. It is also a very short walk into Lake Placid. There are kayaks and canoes to use at... More

Having stayed at several other hotels in Lake Placid, I was a bit disappointed in the rooms.. Very dark, motel-like rooms, their are only window air conditioners which can get very noisy, sliding doors are also very loud especially when someone above or below opens them. They do not have flat screen tv's yet either. While we were there, the... More

This resort was absolutely breathtaking. Everything about our experience was above and beyond exceptional. We loved the fun vibe at The Cottage for our late night cocktails after an incredible dinner at The View. We had an amazing dinner at The Bistro which was the perfect amount of food. We did not leave wanting more nor were we too full.... More
