We got off to a bad start when we checked the sheets which seemed less than fresh, the presence of human hairs was not encouraging. We were offered a new room but it became clear that overall standards were less than impressive. The next day the coffee maker wasn't checked or dirty cups removed. The location isn't too bad and... extremely small room where you check in and eat the ocntinental breakfast. The Continental was cereal, mufins, OJ, Coffee and milk as the titel implies.Do not expect much and you will not be disappointed. Motel staff at desk were pretty good. The room was clean and needed some work for refurbishing. Air conditioner was on full blast but did not... More

Stayed 3 nights in August 2014. For $60 something bucks a night you cannot go wrong. If you do not need all of the usual amenities you will be happy here. I travel a lot for work and usually stay in 4-5 star hotels. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was clean. The carpets and furniture could definitely use... More

It was my first time visiting Lake Placid NY I rented a room at the Econolodge for my son and I when we got in our rooms at the end of our evening out ,we opened up our bed and found that the sheets were covered in yellow stains , so I called front desk and the VERY YOUNG desk... More

The staff are very pleasant. The bed sheets and bathroom were clean (even tho the sheets were too small for the bed)The halls and bedroom carpets should have been cleaned years ago.The chairs were also stained. The outside could stand a good pressure cleaning and paint. The pool area looked OK.The breakfast room in the basement reminded me of a dungeon and the... For the price this place is good. It is just outside of downtown Lake Placid. Has an indoor pool (that I did not see, so I cannot speak of its quality), and a continental breakfast included. Rooms ain't bad, I would recommend however not going to Lake Placid on the Canadian Civic Long Weekend due to the Lacrosse tournament that... More

Walkable distance to the center. Also a trolley stops right in front of the hotel. Reception was good and helpful. Good room with balcony with chairs. Clean and quiet room and good beds. Breakfast was good although the breakfast area needs improvement: too small and too warm.

After spending a night in a truly dismal Econo Lodge property in Albany, I braced myself for motel hell. My fears were unwarranted though, and I was actually very pleasantly surprised. The room was a little rustic (a polite way of saying outdated) but clean, and nicely appointed with comfortable beds, a fridge, work desk, and wifi. There are lawn... More

This old fashioned motel is nothing to look at, but the rooms are huge, they have all the amenities (including a 'fridge) they are spotlessly clean, and the service is great! What more can you ask for? Its the perfect place to stay before and after hiking the adirondack peaks

I had planned on staying by myself and not bringing my family the night before the Lake Placid Marathon, but ended up bringing my wife and two kids, 6 and 9. The kids loved the dolphin- shaped pool. The room, while not newly decorated, wasn't bad. Location was good, close enough to everything we wanted to do. Nothing fancy but... More
