Lake Placid Summit Hotel, where we stayed on our summer vacation, was a very good value and provided amazing service! A special thank you to Dean for being so nice and helpful - giving us information on all the activities in the area and around. His tips were extremely helpful and he was a wealth of information. A special thank... More

We booked this hotel last minute and were staying there one night only. The place is definetly outdated and it shows, so if you are looking for a nice, chic, boutique hotel, don't go there. Not going to lie, the walls in our bedroom didn't look very clean and i did notice smears on the mirrors, but really the purpose of... More

I'll admit it--I read the reviews and couldn't believe the place could be that bad. I was prepared for a dated hotel, but had read enough reviews saying it was clean that I booked it for a 2 night weekend stay. The place WAS that bad and it was dirty to boot. In fact, it was so bad that when... More

This hotel is close to downtown which allowed us to walk to all amenities. Room was outdated. Bathroom was unacceptable. There was hair on the bathroom floor and in the tub. Sheets looked questionable as well. A/C worked well. Pool and hot tub were gross. There was a dirty rugby team and tons of kids, definitely not a pool we... More

Great view of Lake, 3 minutes to Main St. Very dated rooms, our bathroom tub was green. Small area to bath and use toilet. Bar had a view of lake and is new, no entertainment, no variety of beverages. Its ok to sleep and explore early..A must is Whiteface Mountain

This hotel is awesome. Everyone is extremely friendly they treat you like family. I came to volunteer at Ironman Lake Placid. First time in Lake placid. I am coming back next year and I booked the Lake Placid Summit Hotel again. Love this place!

The location is good. It has the potential to be much better, but it's not. The room was "clean" but it could use a deep-cleaning. I think other reviewers said it gets used for hockey camps and tournaments. Feels about right for that. The price is high for what you're getting, but it's the location. Everything around it is higher.... More

I would agree that the hotel is dated. However it is well maintained and very clean. Excellent location to the main strip. Nice to be able to walk from the hotel to downtown. The service from time of booking on the phone with Sarah, to the time we checking out was great. All the staff that we dealt with were... More

The rate definitely indicates the value. It was sufficiently clean, but dated and nothing extraordinary. I was there on a business trip and was enticed by the significantly lower rate than other properties, but I definitely got what I paid for. I think there are better options for travelers looking for a relaxing stay and a nice hotel. I'll probably... More
