So I want to try to start this off with the Pro's (which there really are not much) but first the Staff that we incountered were great and this review is not any reflection on them-the Location also a bonus, now on to the the Con's Well to qutoe the "you get what you pay for" well we paid for... We had a great time staying here. There was an awesome jazz band downstairs. Right in the center of town. Loved our balcony to chill on. Mattress were very comfy. My room was clean. The staff was super friendly. Would stay here again . Needs some updating

With all the retail/restaurants occupying this bldg, you would think they could afford to scrub and update. We stayed long enough to walk in and out! The tv was ancient the rug was dirty and couch was stained and the room itself was situated oddly. The halls/stairway look like an old dorm. Cannot comment on bathroom bc we didn't even... More

We recently stayed here for the 4th of July and found staff to be friendly and helpful. The mattresses were very comfortable the room was clean however the hallways were stained and smelly the rooms so run down. I'll simply say it has great potential but has a long way to go.

The whole place smells, including hallway and room. The mattress was terrible. No hair dryer. Had to go to front desk for ice. Hair in tub and sink area upon arrival. The TV was the old tube type with poor resolution. Terrible shower head.. needs to be replaced. Great view for the 4th

The rooms in this hotel are clean; however, venture outside your door and it looks like terrible spills have been made on the rug in front of almost every room. Don't bother hanging a "Do Not Disturb" sign, the morning maids shout to each other from one end of the hall to the other. Thank goodness Lake Placid is a... More

The pros: the staff were friendly and helpful. The mattress was very comfortable. The room was spacious. It was nice having a balcony. It was a great location, right in the middle of town. The cons: I found an empty bottle of Mike's Hard Lemonade, between the bed and the wall in the room when I checked in, I had... More

It's an old more rustic hotel but fits the Adirondacks nicely. The views are great. The owner and staff are very nice and accommodating!! I've stayed here several times already this year and have been treated consistently well.

Very nice hotel on Main Street. I got a walk in price of $80 for a suite. Location was really good, able to stroll to restaurants and bars, and just a sort walk away from the Olympic facilities. Parking out back with entrance to save trekking in snow.

This hotel is perfect for people wanting to come to lake placid to party ski and get away with out breaking the bank. There is a good bar/restaurant on the first floor and the location is prime for nightlife. The rooms were big and not bad plus It is also pretty close to the mountain. On the negative side the...
