My stay at the Northwoods Inn was extremely pleasant. The hotel is centrally located, the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, the view on the lake side is breathtakingly beautiful, the rates are reasonable and the management and the entire staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. I look forward to staying there again. More

Just got back from a one-night stay at the Northwoods Inn in Lake Placid. The one advantage it has is its location, otherwise, it is in serious need of renovation. Great location, right in the center of town, but that's it. Our room had dirty beer glasses and cigarette butts on the balcony, no pillowcases, and it smelled of urine as we walked in. Oh, and did I mention that breakfast was slow and the waitress rude? More
