We just returned from Brooks Sunshine Cottage. Four girlfriends who graduated from high school met in Lake Placid and stayed at Brooks. We were the only guests. I enjoyed the house and the location. I am likely to return! more

We stayed in one of the suites in the annex, which looks nothing like the quaint house on the web site. The room was large, complete with a kitchenette, and a fold-out couch for the kids. The rooms were clean and make-up of the room was very well done. The TV in the sitting room downstairs was small. There is... more

My wife and I spent a relaxing weekend in Lake Placid and we certainly enjoyed using the Brooks B&B as a home base. Our hosts, Joe and Bernadine, provided many helpful tips on places to eat as well as things to do. They are a nice couple who worked hard to make our stay enjoyable. Bernadine and Joe went always out of there way to make sure my family had a great stay in Lake Placid. They always had good tips on where to eat or places that the kids might like to see. Excellent Hosts! more
