This was our 2nd trip to Lake Placid and we decided to stay somewhere different, we only stayed for one night here. We got a rate on hotwire.com although we checked right before we left and it was much cheaper so that was disappointing but not the hotel's fault. We had room 117, ground floor, we had requested one bed... More

We recently stayed a few nights here. They have 3 properties one of which is right on the water which I strongly recommend you request. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. They have complimentary kayaks, paddle boats and canoes for guest use. Jet tub and gorgeous walk in shower! If you get the waterfront property you are right next... More

Think this hotel is a tail of two cities with some highs and a few lows: Highs: right on the "strip", easy walking to town, has ample parking, kids loved the pools (there are 3), free kayaks, paddle boats, sunfish paddle bikes. The rooms are appropriately decorated for the Adirondacks and were clean and cheery. The balconies were nice, two... More

My husband and I highly recommend this hotel. He is somewhat handicapped and everything worked out perfectly. The concierge Lisa checked us in and was extremely helpful about where to park. She made sure we had the requested accommodation near the main elevator and arranged for someone to meet me at the car to help with the luggage. For her... More

As they have 3 properties, make sure what you are booking. We were in the main house and had a superior room with a lake view. On their website pictures of the ambiance and the views are quite different. In reality, yes we had a lake view on the background, but 90% of our view consisted of roof area with... More

My first visit to Lake Placid and I happened to stay at High Peaks Resort located right at Main Street at Mirror Lake. What luck!! I got a lake front room with king bed and a large room with a large shower (ceiling mounted shower head) and jacuzzi tub on the ground floor. A nice table and chairs outside my... More

The room was clean and in a good location across from the lake down town, but we asked for a late check out. We only needed an hour for my daughter to shower after a hockey game which we told HP and they wanted to charge us a half day rate, which was more than $200. I believe this to... More

Stayed for one night on June 29th to the 30th. Choose a "waterfront collection" double queen. Very nicely appointed and comfortable room. Nice location, directly on the waterfront. Kayaks and paddle boats were available at your convenience. Funny enough the parking for these rooms is actually located directly above the rooms themselves. Sounds weird, I know. You will understand should... More

We stayed at the hotel for one night and had never been to lake placid before. (This hotel has lake view but is across the street from lake, don't be confused) The good: location, room was nice and roomy, view of the lake, balcony, comfy bed. The bad: Shower was large and nice but had not been cleaned. (Moldy, had... More

We stayed here for one night on our way to another place in the Adirondacks. What a great location! The property is right on Main Street but much of the hotel seems very secluded from the hustle and bustle. We had a room on the fifth floor facing Mirror Lake and the view was lovely. We enjoyed sitting out on... More
