My husband and I ended our three week trip to Africa with a two night stay at Chobe Savanna Lodge. What a wonderful, relaxing way to finish our trip! A little weary after weeks of hitting various destinations in South Africa and Botswana, we were able to totally unwind, relax, and feel pampered at Chobe Savanna Lodge, thanks to John... More

Chobe Savanna is a secret jewel in Namibia with very easy access from Kasane. It is a small property and although there are no game drives there are lots of activities. My daughter loved the fishing.............. We also had great boat excursions and did a little walking. The visit to the rural village is also very interesting. We were only... More

We stayed at the Chobe Savanna Lodge for 3 weeks in November 2013 to film a documentary on wildlife in the area. The Chobe Savanna Lodge was an ideal base, and we couldn't have hoped for a better lodge to work with. John and Alfred were really fantastic and so supportive of our project, as was our guide Divine, who... More

We spent 2 nights at Chobe Savanna Lodge during our Family vacation. This lodge was our overall favorite. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful and Ovens, Alfred and John's company during our meals was very welcoming and entertaining. The lodge is incredible and we strongly suggest it for anybody who travels to Southern Africa and we miss this place... More

I brought a group of 20 travelers to spend 3 nights at Chobe Savanna Lodge. During our extensive trip through So. Africa, Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe, Chobe Savanna Lodge was our favorite. We spent four nights here as an extension to a wildlife and photographic trip. Warmly welcomed by the staff led by the manager John who made sure all our needs were met. Our guide/boat driver Ovens was terrific, helping us with great wildlife, especially bird, viewing and positioning the boat for us. Wildlife viewing here is done from a boat,... More

Thank you so much for this fantastic review. Indeed Chobe Savanna Lodge is the perfect place to base yourself to make the most of the wildlife photography on the Chobe River. With its isolated and remote location far west along the river we enjoy really great game viewing from the boats which offer very unique picture opportunities. We hope you... More

We recently completed a 5 week holiday in Africa which ended with 2 nights at Chobe Savanna Lodge. The boat trip across the river from Kasane was something special and most enjoyable. What a beautiful place! It's located on the Namibia side, which means you're almost in the Chobe Park without the hassle. Amazing people! Great hospitality (thanks John and Alfred). We visited a local village which always a great highlight. Lots of game to be seen via water.

Wonderful to hear you enjoyed your stay. Chobe Savanna Lodge is quite blessed with a very special setting overlooking 270 degree views of the Chobe River and Chobe National Park. Indeed it is the furthest removed lodge in the area located on the Namibian side so really offer some quite special serenity. John and Alfred are both great management and... More
