I have stayed here lots of times since 2011. The rooms are clean and very large, the facilities are good. OK your in Nouadhibou don't expect the Ritz. The staff are friendly, the coffee shop/cafe/breakfast room is ok. There is a fantastic French/Romanian/African restaurant called Monaco next door one way and a great Spanish restaurant called Galoufa the other way.... More

You are probably not going to do better than this in Nouadhibou. Sahel has large rooms for a very reasonable price. The cleanliness is not great but the bed was OK although it was hard. There is a spanish restaurant about 50m away that served seafood and we were even able to get a beer although they only allowed one.... More

Probably one of the best hotels in Nouadhibou. When we were there they were renovating the hotel. Good Spanish restaurant next door. Staff wasn't that friendly, they first didn't want to give us a room with two seperate beds. (we were two guys on the road) Rooms were big and clean.

Very good hotel in Nouadhibou, Mauritania. Clean rooms and good facilities, wi-fi, friendly staff. Good location, not far from airport Nouadhibou. Good spanish restaurant 5-7 minutes walk from this hotel. Really comfortable hotel for people from Europe.

Interesting hotel with some rooms facing seawards & the breeze keeps temperature down at night. Dry climate also helps keep mosquitoes away. Formerly this hotel had a bar stocking a few alcoholic drinks but because of the extension of religious influence to most hotels in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, alcohol was no longer served in this hotel when I... This may be one of the best in the country, i haven't travelled inland much but can't imagine it would be better elsewhere. This is a reasonable sized hotel in this odd city. The city survives on the docks and fishing industry together with the fact that the n national iron mining company SNIM has its marine terminal and railroad... More

Nice friendly hotel in Nouadhibou near some decent restaurants. There's not a huge choice of hotels (no response to my earlier post asking for recommendations either so I thought I'd better post this for anyone else going there!). Clean well appointed rooms, good breakfast, wifi and friendly service. decent restaurants in Nouadhibou: Italian: Mauritalia - good italian food, pizzas and... More
