Booked this place for two weeks over Christmas and New Year. We've stayed in quite a few hotels in The Gambia but this was by far the worst. The first room we were shown was in a block that was supposedly being refurbished but after walking through a building site to get to it I think I would have preferred... More

This is a smaller hotel but does not lack in quality. The staff here are super friendly and will sort out trip out with there friends they know and at good prices. The bar area by reception always has great staff. The pool area is fantastic and shows up some of the more established bigger resorts. The rooms are very... More

My third stay at this hotel , on the way to airport having been 'up country' to work with a charity. It is OK for this purpose - a hot shower and electricity is the height of luxury! Rooms are adequate, food is getting better. We were too tired to go out and were impressed with the local drumming/singing/stilt-walking troupe... More

The hotel has undergone a face lift and still is for two blocks. It lifts it towards the three star category foe facilities. Staff very friendly and do their best but suffer from an ineffectual General Manager and Owner's rep without any interpersonal skills. Breakfasts often not ready on time and missing food items. Menu for lunch and/or dinner reads... More

on arrival to The Gambia, our holiday should of started at the Palma Rima which i found the people to be unfriendly and unhelpful, the room allocated to us was smelling of paint and damp and mosquito nets not on windows, so we proceeded to move to The Mansea Beach hotel, which we knew very well as we had been... Customer service very good and staff are very caring, open and well coming. The food is excellent. I recommend this hotel for any one going for holiday in the Gambia. I really enjoy the whole of my holiday in this hotel. The management are doing very well to update the hotel to become the best hotel in the gambia.

you can get a basic single room for upwards of only 10 pounds. the hotel has a good swimming pool and table tennis. but it is a bit off the beaten track, requiring a taxi fare -- 1 pound approx -- to get to senegambia tourist centre which is over a playing field and up the road. the rooms are... I've stayed at this hotel twice. I was lucky enough to get this discounted on both visits due to knowing a member of staff. The hotel is basic as is the breakfast but overall a happy and friendly place to stay. It has a small but clean pool with a bar area. Try the Julbrew. It's a lovely beer which... More
