Rooms clean but ready for updating no complimentary toiletries so take all our own. Telephone in room didn't work, TV very poor reception and internet very spasmodic, only available in reception or at beach cafe Grounds were lovely, birds were wonderful and vulture feeding brilliant, and monkeys all around. Pools and beach area really good, but had to put towels... More

I was really cautious when I was booking a hotel in Gambia, I spent more time researching hotels and safe areas to stay that I did looking for a holiday, but Senegambia was the perfect choice. The Good Points People are really friendly Everyone speaks the English Language Beds are comfortable The TV channels and showers work Lovely location and... More

Stayed in a twin room with friend. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Hotel grounds were wonderful with many different birds. The daily vulture feeding not to be missed. A constant source of amusement were the monkeys who were a delight to observe. Lovely location with a bar and restaurant on the beach where you can see the sun go... More

Lovely staff, beautiful gardens, excellent pools, good breakfasts, the wildlife literally on your doorstep, marvellous massages. Hard to fault the place. My daughter and I had a wonderful holiday. I would like to recommend Brimi, one of the horse lads, (he is usually riding a bay horse and has a short dredd hairstyle) and can be found on the beach... More

We have just returned from the Senegambia and we had a fantastic time. We were in blocks C and D which was just a short walk to both beach and breakfast. The grounds are stunning and every day you will see green vervet monkeys running around in small family groups. The Location The Senegambia is about a 30 minute drive... More

Just returned from 10 nights at the Senegambia - I cannot recommend The Gambia enough. We went as a couple and were originally put in Room F22 - this room did unfortunately have some damp around the air con so we made the decision to upgrade to a suite which was wonderful (Kololi Suites). It's not much more cost wise... More

First time in the Gambia but very happy with choice of hotel and area. Many of the staff were superb, one or two purely functional but that is the same anywhere. The contrast between the have's and the have not's is striking and to see such positivity in amongst such poverty was inspiring to say the least. If you want... More

As others have stated in their reviews, this is an excellent hotel giving a level of service and comfort far above what I expected. The rooms are basic, but a good size with fridge and safe plus a large comfortable bed. They are also spotlessly clean and cleaned every day without fail. The staff are all friendly and personable and couldn't... More

This is a really good hotel and is situated in a very convenient position. It has an authentic feel about it with fantastic grounds and well kept gardens. It was our first visit to The Gambia and will certainly return to this hotel. The rooms, although fairly basic, are spotlessly clean with a large, comfortable bed, fridge and air conditioning included.... More
