traveller's place in historic buidlings, 10 min off from town center. decent rooms, but not very clean, and some indication of bugs... unfortunately. also, the bathroom was not well working - almost no water in shower, and no cold water in sink... in the main building, there is a small restaurant with traditional food. negotiate for prices, are usually way... Excellent location to see the churches and to get to the fantastic saturdY market. We stayed here and mainly ate at the seven olives hotel which was nearby and had good food" whatever hotel you stay in in ethiopia by some fly spry for the room and bathroom and use each day to sort out any Mosquitos etc. do go... Really nice hotel - for a very reasonable price I stayed in a clean and simple room, with a fantastic flower and bird filled garden right outside my door. Very peaceful courtyard to relax in. Definitely recommended. And the little restaurant opposite, Unique, is also great.

The single rooms are very small, but the beds comfortable and almost double sized. The room was freshly whitewashed and clean, although no one cleaned it in the five days I stayed despite leaving the key at reception. There is WiFi available which worked pretty consistently. There is a restaurant which serves ok food and a pleasant garden. I negotiated... More

the hotel is a good option for travellers on a budget. i think we paid 15 Euros for a double with private bathroom. rooms are small but clean. all rooms are facing a little courtyard. theres a restaurant that belongs to the hotel with the standart food options in ethiopian budget restaurants (shoro, pasta, pizza), the prices were totally fair... I stayed here for 4 nights and had a great experience. The place is cheap, the rooms are ok although some are older than others, the manager was very helpful and the wifi was great, plus the location is excellent. I didn't eat at the restaurant here so can't comment on that but others said the breakfast was pretty good.... More

This place would get an average rating as a budget option, unfortunately the disappearance of my insulated jacket from my room puts it in the terrible category. Thank god my valuables were in a Pac-Safe or I might have lost a lot more. I didn't notice the jacket was missing until I was packing to leave, by which time it... More

Really the rooms are in complete shambles, everything falling out of the walls and we stayed in two different rooms! p.s. do not pay more than $20 it was way too bargain. Both bathrooms leaked so you had to walk through puddles to go to the bathroom, both smelt HORRIBLE. hotel staff seem helpful but they will top you off... More

We stayed at Asheton for alsmost a week due to the really good free wifi !! If you travel for long time, it is really useful sometimes!! Stuff were very friendly, the location also very good.. generally it is a very nice place to chill! The rooms were also ok, but unfortunately we got bedbucks, something that we didn't really... The Asheton (or Asheten) is a good choice if you're looking for a budget hotel in lalibella. There is hot water, wifi and the rooms are relatively clean. However the rooms are rather small and it does not offer the best value for money.
