We stayed here for three nights. The rooms were cosy and clean. There was hot water every day and the staff was very friendly. A pitty the wifi never worked. But overal a really good choice to stay in Lalibela.

Rooms are good and clean with the shower needing a little work. Great garden outside your room. Away from the hustle of the main street. Guides can be had from here. Very close to the churches and ATM's and also the 7 Olives restaurant which had excellent food. This place was good for the price....250 birr for a single. They... More

Arriving in Lalibela in the rain, our group was a bit grumpy as we walked from hotel to hotel looking for something comfortable. Initially, we weren't too impressed with the Asheton and left to scope a few more options, but after seeing the much-lauded Seven Olives, we returned to the Asheton where the staff was happy to see us again.... I arrived on the week of the holiday Timket, and stayed for two nights. I must have looked pretty tired arriving from the bus, because the quote I received for a single room was 300 Birr for the first night and 400 for the second (I was leaving before the actual holiday). The regular rate was more like 200, but... More

My wife and I came to this hotel, didn’t like it because the room and especially bathroom didn't look clean. We told them very politely that we would like to see other hotels first, and then maybe we would come back. The person showing us the room got very angry and literally threw us out. It was a bit scary!

I would NOT recommand this hotel, which I must say, has a pleasant garden, and pretty rooms. BUT. Reception lied to us, twice, and I had to change 4 times of room: First room: impossible to close the door. Second room: smelt like toilet. Third room: could close the door, couldn't open it though, broke the door handle and got... More

Pretty good location but the rooms were more run down than in the other budget hotels in Ethiopia. One nice table in the garden. Good service at the reception. But nothing special about this place. It's ok for a night or two but i'd research if there are any newer budget hotels in Lalibela (haven't really seen any better looking... More

This hotel has real character, a lovely garden of flowers and an area to sit out. The rooms are nice, the food is good and the staff are very helpful. Josef from the hotel was our guide around the Lalibela churches and was very good. The hotel is an easy walk to everywhere. Pickup from and to the airport was... More

I came for one night and was ill for much of it so spent more time at the hotel and less in the town than would have wanted. However, having said that the hotel was nice. The decor is aiming to be traditional, and although the hotel is quite central and near hustle and bustle, it is quite calm with... More

A comfortable place with hot water. Prices are negotiable and staff are friendly. We also met an excellent guide at the hotel, called Abebe. He took myself and a friend up the mountains to a local monastery for a very good rate - 200 Birr total.
