The hotel is ok, with a nice terrace to sit and have meals. We were in a family room, but it became quite cramped after they put in an extra bed. Service in the restaurant was quite slow. Located a bit of a distance from the lake, but not a problem really

This hotel is very new, in fact so new that it lacked some finish: Water was coming down into our room from the upstairs floor. Other than that it was OK: A large, comfortable room, friendly service and a nice terrace where you can have breakfast. It is some distance from the center of town, in a more quiet area.

This is a good hotel, and my own experience echoes other reviewers. It's very clean, and the restaurant is good and extremely fast. They have some good Western dishes as well as a very nice Shiro, and the service there is great. I think it's worth the price, and when internet goes down, they have someone there trying to fix... Average hotel in Bahirdar, far from centre. As many hotels here - just a little effort could make their service much better. Most of the rooms are with balconies on the street side. Bathroom quality not worth of mention - like in budget Italian hotels: you have to do everything before having shower, because after it the floor is like... More

This should be under hotel, not B&B. Really solid hotel. Our room was big, super clean, with nice western-style bathroom, wifi, satellite TV, nice furnishings, large, comfortable bed, small veranda. Of all the hotels I stayed in in Ethiopia this one felt the most "western" in it's standards, looks and feel. Slightly expensive - I think we paid walk-in price... More

The property is actually Homland and not Homeland and it a proper mid-range hotel. It is not in the town centre and my group and I used Bajaj/tuk-tuk to get to the waterfront. The good thing about being back from the water was very few mosquitoes! Also this hotel had a great restaurant and would highly recommend it. Most of... More

I stayed in Homland Hotel for about 4 weeks in May and June 2013 (on a job assignment) and I really enjoyed it. The workmanship in my room may not have been the best in the world: shower curtain falling down, door locks a little worn etc., but this was more than compensated by the restaurant and its terrace and... Stayed at the hotel for two nights at the end of May 2013. New and comfortable rooms with good restaurant and free airport shuttle. Only drawback was that there is no lift so had to walk up three flights of stairs. Otherwise the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Free Wifi.

Nice hotel with pick-up service, very comfy bed and hot water shower.  Our room had a fan but it was old and noisy so couldn't really use it.  We had mosquito nets but we didn't really see any mosquitoes anyway.  Breakfast was excellent with a variety of choices available.  I recommend the Enkula Siles, which they describe as traditional breakfast....
