Great little hotel for a couple of nights and excellent value (about £45 per room per night). No frills, nothing fancy, but clean and tidy. The space age shower others have mentioned was too clever for me as well, but in standard shower mode it was fine. Good quality breakfast and drinks. Wifi seemed to be restricted to a small... More

The Abay Minch lodge is a beautiful lodge, a bit out of the city hassle - an advantage. Beautiful clean rooms. Excellent restaurant. Very friedly and helpful staff. For sure my choice again upon returning to Bahar Dar.

..Large rooms, great bed and a modern bathroom. Located in a quiet area in a beautiful garden Walking in the early morning and looking at the colorful birds around was great. The food at the hotel was very good too.

We stayed here for two nights in september. Clean rooms in twin cottages in beatifully green garden amid birds. The shower system in the bathroom looks very impressive but needs a technical revision to work where it is made for. Food was a buffet formula twice. More or less the same food everyday that could be served hotter. Wifi worked... More

The hotel is a little way out of the town centre, over the Blue Nile Bridge. Rooms are large cabins, split into two units. The unit itself was spacious and the bed comfortable. The shower looked like something out of the space station, although only the hot and cold water worked! Internet access was sporadic, throughout the hotel. The restaurant... More

People told me that this place was too far but not true. In fact I like the fact that it was away from the center of the city. Very quiet gorgeous and peaceful place. The staff are very friendly and very nice. I would recommend to anyone especially to people from the USA.

We only stayed here one night but I loved room 126. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom had a fancy shower and clean. Some of my travel partners were awoken at 4am because of the chanting over a loud speaker. I slept through it. The staff was very pleasant and grounds were lovely. We enjoyed breakfast and... More

We stayed one night here. The gardens were beautifully maintained. We got to see many species of birds. It was every enjoyable to eat breakfast outside and walk around the gardens. It was outside of town, but that made it quiet. The bungalow was very nice. The restaurant was fine, but seemed a bit overpriced( and you have no other... More

This lodge is a nice one located in a large place with lovely gardens although need a little upgrade. The restaurant in vast and food was fine.We left a shirt we loved and they could not find it.Hotels are expected to keep lost stuff and to return it back.Otherwise the hotel is not reliable to tourists!!!!!

We spent 2 very enjoyable nights in this hotel which is situated just inside a forest on the outskirts of Bahar Dar town. We had a large, semi-detatched "tukul" bungalow no. 141 which was very comfortable. It had 2 good beds, a workdesk, wardrobe, coffee table, satellite TV, a very modern bathroom with a semi-circular shower cubicle containing a power-shower... More
