Would have liked to have had more time to sit and watch the bird life- the gardens are beautiful. The rooms are simple- our shower seemed pretty run of the mill. We caught the tail end of the buffet, failing to comprehend that a la carte was on offer, however the stuff we had was fine considering. The peace was... More

The rooms with an outside porch to watch the birds in the beautiful gardens. Outside our room was a pair of green parrots feeding their baby. The rooms are clean, wifi not bad and all the staff very friendly. Restaurant was average but did not find any trouble with the staff. Breakfast was good.

Clean, good sized room. Strange shower but lots of hot water. The restaurant is the major drawback...eat anywhere else as the food is poor and the wait staff rude! Where is the Manager who should be overseeing the help? Restaurant so bad suggested the travel company take their people elsewhere to eat.

Great little hotel for a couple of nights and excellent value (about £45 per room per night). No frills, nothing fancy, but clean and tidy. The space age shower others have mentioned was too clever for me as well, but in standard shower mode it was fine. Good quality breakfast and drinks. Wifi seemed to be restricted to a small... More

The Abay Minch lodge is a beautiful lodge, a bit out of the city hassle - an advantage. Beautiful clean rooms. Excellent restaurant. Very friedly and helpful staff. For sure my choice again upon returning to Bahar Dar.

We stayed here for two nights in september. Clean rooms in twin cottages in beatifully green garden amid birds. The shower system in the bathroom looks very impressive but needs a technical revision to work where it is made for. Food was a buffet formula twice. More or less the same food everyday that could be served hotter. Wifi worked... More

The hotel is a little way out of the town centre, over the Blue Nile Bridge. Rooms are large cabins, split into two units. The unit itself was spacious and the bed comfortable. The shower looked like something out of the space station, although only the hot and cold water worked! Internet access was sporadic, throughout the hotel. The restaurant... More

People told me that this place was too far but not true. In fact I like the fact that it was away from the center of the city. Very quiet gorgeous and peaceful place. The staff are very friendly and very nice. I would recommend to anyone especially to people from the USA.

We only stayed here one night but I loved room 126. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom had a fancy shower and clean. Some of my travel partners were awoken at 4am because of the chanting over a loud speaker. I slept through it. The staff was very pleasant and grounds were lovely. We enjoyed breakfast and... More
