The hotel is a little way out of the town centre, over the Blue Nile Bridge. Rooms are large cabins, split into two units. The unit itself was spacious and the bed comfortable. The shower looked like something out of the space station, although only the hot and cold water worked! Internet access was sporadic, throughout the hotel. The restaurant... More

People told me that this place was too far but not true. In fact I like the fact that it was away from the center of the city. Very quiet gorgeous and peaceful place. The staff are very friendly and very nice. I would recommend to anyone especially to people from the USA.

We only stayed here one night but I loved room 126. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom had a fancy shower and clean. Some of my travel partners were awoken at 4am because of the chanting over a loud speaker. I slept through it. The staff was very pleasant and grounds were lovely. We enjoyed breakfast and... More

We stayed one night here. The gardens were beautifully maintained. We got to see many species of birds. It was every enjoyable to eat breakfast outside and walk around the gardens. It was outside of town, but that made it quiet. The bungalow was very nice. The restaurant was fine, but seemed a bit overpriced( and you have no other... More

We spent 2 very enjoyable nights in this hotel which is situated just inside a forest on the outskirts of Bahar Dar town. We had a large, semi-detatched "tukul" bungalow no. 141 which was very comfortable. It had 2 good beds, a workdesk, wardrobe, coffee table, satellite TV, a very modern bathroom with a semi-circular shower cubicle containing a power-shower... More

The place appears lovely when you arrive, with traditional bungalows spread around lush beautiful gardens, birds chirping in the trees, a different wooden bird for every bungalow...but this is nearly where it all ends. Inside, the bungalows are very basic. Our first night was spent in a bungalow without hot water and no wifi (although we were told both were... More

Minch Lodge is a hotel near Bahar Dar. Thought far from the center, It is an unbelievable garden of Eden, with traditional houses scattered in a tropical park full of birds and flowers. The rooms are modern, designed and clean, as are the facilities. Good service, good wine. I only missed the swimming pool (they only have a fountain in... More

A modern, new resort in a dense tropical garden with birds singing everywhere. The rooms are spacious, modern, well set up and clean. Bathrooms feature fancy electronic showers, mostly of little use. Internet was fast but didn't always reach the rooms. The restaurant was good. What's missing was a swimming pool...

We had made reservations to stay here 31/2 months prior and less than 24 hours before we were to show up they phoned and cancelled on us. We did managed to get another room at the last minute but was extremely disappointed in there service and would not recommend them to anyone.
