The Travelodge of Lake George continues to be a great value. The owners, Rick and June, are involved with EVERY aspect of the motel's operation. They want your stay to be pleasant, relaxing and one you'll want to repeat there. I wouldn't want to work the hours that they do on a continual basis. The realities of running a large-scale... more

We stayed for 2 nights and 3 day and it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed inn. There was black mold in our bathroom and the breakfast was toast and cereal. The pool was so dirty that my 3 kids would not go in it.I paid a lot of money to stay there and it was terrible. I will... more

The hotel was very dated as others have said. How much would it cost to put a little refrigerator in each room. I mean really. Also, the beds are terrible! After staying here, I have come to the conclusion that if the bed is that bad, move on! It will ruin your vacation. And I am not a fussy person.... more

Good location, decent price. Breakfast is horrible. No fridge in room, had to bring cooler and go get ice every day. ***The biggest disappointment of all-Premium lake view was promised at booking AND check-in, but we had a giant tree in front of our window and that is all we had a view of!!! (it was a HUGE window and... more

I would not let a dog sleep in this place. The rooms were dated, beds were uncomfortable and the service at the desk was equally as bad. The breakfast was awful. Nothing to eat, with signs posted everywhere that there was to be no take out. What take out? more

Our room was musty and had uncomfortable beds. Odd that there was a blowdryer in the bathroom, something that usually comes with a higher priced hotel, but no clockradio. The continental breakfast is VERY minimal; (mini-bagels, toast, coffee, and juice) and the posted signs of "No takeaways" was too much, posted ever few feet or so in the breakfast area.... more

We stayed here last June and it was just pleasant and the complete staff was great . The room was immaculant , there was fresh bathroom towels as well as new bars of soap left everyday , the beds were freshly made and the room cleaned . It was very quiet and peaceful . We wanted to sleep in a... more

The main reason we chose the Travelodge in Lake George was because it was pet-friendly. There was plenty of green space to walk our dog and we found the surroundings clean as was our room. We had a great mountain-view room. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely return here on my next trip to Lake George. more

You could not control the air conditioning or heat. It was a cool evening and they had the air running. I asked at the office, they said it was central air. The electric heaters did not work in the room to get the chill out of the air. The rooms were clean but old and run down. more

To sum it up the hotel is just very old looking, both outside and inside. I wouldn't say I felt unsafe or anything and I didn't run into any actual problems. The location is decent, not right in town but within a mile or so. The staff was ok, not an issue either way. Thus the average rating for a... more
