We love Lake George in the fall, and wanted a place that would be pet friendly so we could take our pups hiking. Roaring Brook Ranch is rustic, and the buildings have a dated, 60s-stye dude ranch vibe, but the rooms were clean, the people were lovely and helpful, and the grounds were amazing! We loved the duck pond and... More

First, I was very unsatisfied with the rooms. They need a lots of up dating. The AC or very old and beat up. Could not lock the door bolt lock. Had to place the table & chair in front of it to feel a little secure. The windows were not secure, the screen was falling out. The refrig made loud... More

First off, I called in the morning of August 29 to ask if they had any rooms left for the night, since it was a holiday weekend. I was advised that they had "a couple" left, so I booked. To my surprise, the place was pretty much empty, with maybe a total of a dozen cars in the parking lot... More

We spent 2 nights at this hotel. The cleanliness of the place is in need of major improvements. The room itself has potential to be a great room but floor boards in the room were covered with dirt crumbs and hair. The wall ac unit was nasty the filter was covered in dust. We came back to the room the... More

We should have heeded the advice of the TripAdvisor reviews and booked elsewhere. We were attending a wedding/reception at this "resort" (using the term loosely), didn't know the area and didn't want to have to drive on strange roads after the reception, so we booked a room here. Big mistake. I should have suspected something when we were asked to... More

Beautiful grounds! Exceptional staff, Mr Green knew our names the first day! Where else will the bartender brew you a fresh pot of coffee to take to your room? Waitress in the hotel restaurant was on her game. Quick hop to Lk George village, mini golf on the corner.

I booked this resort for my parents for the weekend. Made the mistake of not checking tripadvisor. My dad called me this morning that they had to leave last night. First, they were sent to a room where the beds were not even made. He called and they were moved to another room. That room smelled so bad of mildew... More

I friend booked a room for my husband and I. He didn't use tripadvisor. OUCH!! This place is dirty, hairs on bathroom floor and night table, dead bugs on window sill and bathroom soap dish, lampshade stained, air wick air "fresheners" to try and hide the musty (mildew?) smells. A paper bath mat ( who thought that was a good... More

We found this hotel via the internet, and since it was a last minute booking, it was one of the last places available to stay for Labor Day weekend. It was fine, but here is what I would have liked to have known before booking. 1) The place must have been built in the late 50's/early 60's and basically has... More

Just Plan Nasty And Distgusting. We Stayed Friday To Sunday. We Were Suppose To Stay Till Monday Labor Day But Left A Day Early. We Literally Were The Only Car On Property When We Arrived On Friday And The Lights Outside Of The Building We Were Staying At Were Shut Off. We Had To Ask The Hotel To Turn Them... More
