If you enjoy steam table syle institutional cuisine, which offers the choice of chicken or fish, always the same vegetable mix from the same bag of frozen vegies, and non-descript potatoes, then this is the place for you. The accommodations are a crap-shoot. You might get the quaint, but rundown musty room with dead lamps and no hot water, which... more

My husband and I arrived to Roaring Brook on a Saturday afternoon to find a ghost town. Not a soul. This place is completely stuck in 1973, but for me, thats not a bad thing. I liked the kitsch! I just wish there had been more people. I feel like a good spirited group would really enjoy it! All of... more

My husband and I have stayed here a number of times for only one night when we were dropping our child off or picking up at camp nearby. If you stay in the newer Calgary building the rooms are fine and worth the value, the others are dated and extremely moldy and smelly. The outdoor pool is great on a... more

I still cant get the stench of that room out of my throat and nose and that was from last Thursday Night July 2nd! The room is a mine field of mold. The towels reeked as well as the sheets! The blankets and comforters(which we tossed off the beds) had to be atleast over 30 yrs old were holy and just nasty!... more

My best friend of 37 years and I celebrated our 22nd year at Roaring Brook. We always go on Memorial Day weekend. This place is breath taking. The food is definetly a 4 star, the room and beds were comfortable. We love the horses and the beautiful scenery on horse back. Even if you never rode a horse before, the... more

We stayed as part of a very large group which had booked the ranch for the weekend. The property looked nice when we pulled up, but the buildings all appeared tired in appearance. (My spouse and I commented it must have been very nice about 25-30 years ago) We received a room which had a funky smell, there was mold... more

It was like a ghost town. The whole place was empty. If you want a quiet place to stay this is for you. The room was big. It was a bit dated but nice. We had 2 queen beds and pull out couch. Lots of room for our cooler and scooters. The grounds were hugh and hilly the kids loved... more

Great time. It was a lot of fun. The food was really good, the room could have been a little better, but I'm not complaining. This is a ranch, not a 5 star hotel. I feel some people didn't catch onto that. This isn't the place to stay for a biker rally or for a honeymoon, this is the place... more

Stayed at the "Resort" for 3 nights with a large goup. All were less than impressed to say the least, And, in fact, some left early due to the uncomfortable accomodations. Rooms were musty, moldy and had no amenities....not even a clock! The blankets and bed spreads clearly have been in use for the last 30 years....I slept in my... more

My wife and I stayed at the RBR from 2-9 June 2008 for the Americade Motorcycle Rally. We paid $158 a night which is more than the "average" rate quoted on this web site. We were placed in the "Navaho" building which is the first building on the facility by the duck/goose pond. The room was outdated in every respect.... more
