I have now stayed here twice while hiking nearby. Spacious accommodations, nice location and friendly staff. The furniture and bedding is clean and comfortable. Breakfast includes juice, fruit, cereals, eggs and coffee. A nice home away from home.

My family lives only a couple hours drive from the High Peaks but we decided to stay the night and were very glad we did. We loved the no-frills check-in, excellent location for activities, and tasty breakfast. We will certainly stay again when we visit during the summer for some climbing and hiking.

Nice clean place to stay. I recommend the room with the sleeping deck. Good breakfast. Very quiet and relaxing place. Close to hiking trails in The Adirondack Mountains. Also close to Lake Placid and a few good breweries. Will be back next Spring.

This inn is a marvelous experience from the location, rooms, breakfasts, company of others and the gracious hosts. Materials and suggestions were plentiful to aid the first timer's hiking schedule. On days when less hiking was scheduled a supplied game rooms nod reading room were available for that part of the vacation. Evenings on the large comfortable porch and a... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night during our annual trip. The inn is just south of Lake Placid, NY in the Adirondack Mountains. It's off the road, tucked in a quiet area. The owners do not check you in. It's self check-in, but we were fortunate to have caught an employee as she was leaving and she... More

When I'm in the Adirondack high peaks! I stayed three nights to have some R&R and to hike. As usual, the rooms and bathrooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The inn was so incredibly quiet at night. The other people staying there were friendly as was the staff of course. I will continue returning...unless I move to... More

We loved our stay at Trail's End Inn, the house is really lovely and the place is idyllic. I loved to sit in the porch with a cup of coffee and enjoy the green lawn, the peaks around Keene Valley, the pretty beaver pond just few steps away. The Inn is a great start for all sorts of hikes, you... More

If you're wanting to pick up a few peaks over 4000 feet, and want to get a good night's sleep between climbs, this is a great place to do so. Neither motel mishmash, nor glammed up 'Adirondack style Lodge on steroids', this inn reminds me of places in Vermont I went to as a kid. Homey comfortable rooms, shared bathrooms... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Cascade cabin last weekend (Aug 2014) for just 2 nights during a quick hiking trip. The place is just about a 5 minute drive from the main Trail's End Inn building near where The Garden trailhead is. It's on a small road that hugs the Ausable river, nice and quiet and the only...
