This was our first time in the Adirondacks. We were attending a skating event in Lake Placid (about 25 minutes away). We loved this bed & breakfast! We were in room #3. The beds were super comfortable and it had its own private bathroom. Laurie and George the Innkeepers were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with lots of... More

Four of us girls stayed at the lodge for two nights. It is a charming old house with comfortable settings. The bathroom is very clean. We enjoyed the hot breakfast, strong coffee, a variety of organic tea, and fresh fruits. The owner George went out of his way to attend our needs. He is also very knowledgeable of the local... More

We come to the Adirondacks a lot - and usually stay in Lake Placid. But we like hiking in the Keen valley area. Unable to get a room in Placid last weekend - we thought we'd try the Lodge. What a treat. We got the big room at the back - which gave us plenty of room for our teen... More

My husband and I stayed here for two weeks earlier this month. We absolutely loved every aspect of our stay. George, the owner and innkeeper, was warm and friendly and gave us many great suggestions for hiking, biking, kayaking and restaurants. Shelly, on staff, was very friendly and always willing to be of service. Our room, #3, was comfortable and... More

Our car had engine trouble on the way to Montreal, and upon hearing that the necessary part couldn't be delivered until the next morning, we discovered this wonderful lodge through some quick research online. The grounds and building are beautifully maintained; our room (#7) quiet, clean and comfortable; the breakfast varied and delicious; and our host very warm and personable.... More

We couldn't wait to go back to the Keene Valley Lodge. I wish we lived closer so we could stay more often. Great, friendly owners. Comfy, clean, cozy room. (We stayed in room 3) Quiet little town next to some great trailheads. And right on the river. I enjoyed coffee on the front porch every morning. Breakfast buffet was tasty... More

We arrived sodden and laden at the front door which opened to reveal a roaring fire and comfortable living room. A galant guest guided us to our private suite at the back with it's fully equipped kitchen and dinning space as well as cozy lounge. In the morning we spied a hummingbird amidst a butterfly garden. Then we savored a... More

We came to the High Peaks Wilderness on our honeymoon, but ended up hikinh out early because we were sick of all the regulations and couldn't find our hidden campsite...so we hiked out and decided to see what the town of Keene Valley had to offer, as we have never stayed as tourists. We were very impressed by the Keene... More

Our recent trip to the Adirondack area was quite pleasant with a stay at Keene Valley Lodge. This B & B is situated on the main road through Keene Valley, and is convenient for guests to walk to the little country stores, to the river's edge, to the library, diner, or perhaps to some hiking trails and swimming holes. The... More
