The hotel is quite nice. The rooms and staff are nice, so is the pool and the private beach. We kitesurf in Oum Lambouir, so the location was perfect. They served me off-season oyters in the restaurant, without warnin that they were off-season. Well, they were spoiled and I had a stomach infection. There is no wifi reception in the... More

when I arrived in the dark in Dakhla I was full of expectations for this hotel given the nice pictures on the royal air maroc bochure. Instead the driver brought us out of Dakhla and suddenly went right on a rough track at the ned of whic there was some lights and an ugly building. I said : luckily enough... More

This is a real escape place for those of you that are looking for something really special and non mainstream. The setting is superb and the climate is probably the best I've ever experienced (and we've travelled the word extensively). There is a wonderful and large salt water pool and if you love oysters and lobster this is the place.... More

TL;DR: I can definitely recommend the hotel for a one or two night romantic getaway with your partner or for winding down after an extensive trip through the desert (you'll love the showers). For a longer term luxury getaway, I'd only recommend this if you don't care much for service and don't have to work for your money (which is... More

The hotel is a bit "isolated", which is not a bad thing itself. However found some issues : room not very clean, staff not trained (very "family style"), food ok but limited, pool and beach dirty, spa not open, etc... Dakhla is a very small town, with not much to do apart fishing and water sport activities (kite surfing and... More

We stayed at Calipau in August 2012 for 3 nights. The good: the building is very nice, with large rooms, comfortable beds and great bathrooms. The beach is small but great for swimming. The view could be great if it were not for the military base that occupies the cliff. The bad: the beach and rocks at the hotel were... More

I was here from 20 to 22 of May. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. There is digital tv supporting every language. The crew is very helpfull and understanding. Food in the restaurant is fresh, tastefull and all drinks are out of bottle. Be sure to take some sunglasses due to the wind, it why they call it... More

Having stayed at this idyllic location before, I could not wait to take friends back there. The first impression (from the road) is always "we're not staying there, are we?" as the approach is as if to a shed. Thats because the hotel is built down the side of rocks onto the beach. Once inside, the location overlooking the lagoon... More

Very charming and friendly atmosphere in this easygoing and relaxing hotel. I was impressed by the kindness and availability of the whole staff in trying to fulfill each wish, what reflects perfectly the kind character of monsieur Bernard, the owner, a very pleasant Frenchman who claims in his modesty to speak only a few words in English, but is able...
