The inn was very nicely refurbished and the rooms and grounds were lovely. The linens and bathroom accessories were extremely nice as well. The odd thing was the unfriendly and cold hostess. She was not welcoming or hospitable. She never said can we get you anything or please let us know if there is anything we can do to make... more

I was out on the North Fork for a weekend of wine tasting to celebrate my father's 70th birthday with my husband, my parents and my brother. I had read good things about Jedediah Hawkins restaurant so I booked a reservation a month in advance. The meal was disastrous. They did not honor our reservation (a big pet peeve in... more

This is is great, very nice, and everything is exceptional quality, however you are paying for it, but it is worth it the food is wonderful although I must admit small portions and not much to do area wise. But the rooms are excellent and I would stay here again more

My husband and I ate there last night to celebrate Valentine's Day. We had meant to get there sooner as we have heard rave reviews about the food. Unfortunately for us the restaurant changed hands and while they only just opened last weekend, last night was still terrible. The food was just okay, there were no salads on the menu,... more

My friends surprised me with a dinner at the restaurant Jedediah's and I was floored by the atmosphere. The photos on the website are beautiful but don't compare to seeing it in person! It's a beautifully restored space and as equally tantalizing on your tastebuds as on your eyes. My mouth is watering just thinking about the duck entree I... more

We loved visiting the Inn in late November for my boyfriend's birthday. No traffic and no crowds meant we were a world away from Manhattan in about 2 hours. Debbie Bowen, the innkeeper, began making us feel comfortable before we even arrived, helping us keep our reservation in the midst of a family crisis. We stayed in the cocoa room,... more

Very special place, romantic, beautiful property. Restored old victorian home, great story. Very friendly staff. Delicious breakfast which is included. Very good but expensive dinner. The noise from restaurant was the only negative, didn't stop me from falling asleep. more

My now-husband and I got married at Jedediah Hawkins Inn one year ago and returned for our one-year anniversary In Nov. 2008. We stayed in the Belvedere Suite -- an absolutely gorgeous oasis from the stress of daily living. Upon arrival, we were enveloped in warmth both from the ambience of the Inn and the refined enthusiasm of the staff,... more

My wife and I spent three nights/days at the Inn looking for some desperately needed R&R. The property is wonderful, the story of the rehab is fascinating and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and the included breakfast was perfect. The gazebo is a treat. Now the bad...we stayed in the Cocoa room (also called... more
